To assist in raising funds for our Fredericksburg Chapter of Team River Runner I'm now able to provide Su***de Prevention Gatekeeper training as an Instructor to anyone who might be interested in learning the skills to be a Gatekeeper at work or in their own personal lives.

What is a Gatekeeper?
According to the Surgeon General’s National Strategy for Su***de Prevention (2001), a gatekeeper is someone in a position to recognize a crisis and the warning signs that someone may be contemplating su***de.

Gatekeepers can be anyone, but include parents, friends, neighbors, teachers, ministers, doctors, nurses, office supervisors, squad leaders, foremen, police officers, advisors, caseworkers, firefighters, and many others who are strategically positioned to recognize and refer someone at risk of su***de.

As a trained Gatekeeper you will learn to:
Recognize the warning signs of su***de
Know how to offer hope
Know how to get help and save a life

Any Old School Magic Players out there that would like to play for ante with a twist? The twist is that we'll be doing so in the Commander format, so more ante and more chance of scoring a unique card depending on how amp'd people's decks are. The only exception to the ante will be the Commander card for that person's deck. This is a blind random ante like in the beginning of Magic. If interested please let me know.

Once we have at least 4 folks including myself I have acquired space in a local (Fredericksburg Va) brick and mortar that is ok with us doing so in their store. Please share with all the local players, and help me to get the word out. I may create a separate Group on Facebook as we acquire players for the group. Thanks.

For any old school Magic the Gathering players I'm looking to create a casual Commanders play group with a twist. I'd like to take it all the way back to the beginning and to play for ante.

For those who don't know what that is here is a brief description explaining what it meant in the beginning of MTG.

The original design of Magic included an "ante" option, wherein before the game started, each player would pick a random card from their library, and that card was set aside (removed from the game). Players played the game, and the winner got to keep both cards (changing literal ownership).

If interested please let me know by reply message or email, and if we have enough folks (10 or so) that would like to do so, I'll acquire a space for us to play.

For the last 15 years, Team River Runner has held its biggest annual fundraiser, the DC Biathlon, the first weekend of October. In response to the ongoing public health concerns brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to change the event because safety for our TRR family is our top priority. We are SO excited to invite you to participate in our 1st National Virtual Biathlon to be held September 27-October 4, 2020.

RACE YOUR OWN RACE. YOU VS YOU! Paddle or SUP 1 mile and then walk, run or handcycle 3 miles (5K). Do this in the safety of your own community. While we must stay apart physically, TRR can still promote inclusivity by sticking together through this event! Challenge yourself. Challenge a friend. Join a team. Get moving. Have fun!

Buy your National Virtual Biathlon shirt before 9/4 and you will get it before the race! Purchase your shirt after 9/5 and you will receive the shirt after the race.

This artist picture is called "Yellow Roses", and is just one example of many that I have for sale. The pictures have been done in different art mediums to include pencil, charcoal, paint, etc., and the majority are signed by the artist who completed the piece. Some also have certification documents.
