I just had a customer ask me why older, vintage blow molds cost more than the new blow molds they just saw at Walmart.

Good question! Here are a couple of reasons...

*Vintage blow molds feature thicker, heavier plastic with classic hand-painted or airbrushed details, while new blow molds use thinner, more brittle modern plastics.

*People want old blow molds instead of new ones because of nostalgia, higher-quality and thicker plastic and unique vintage designs that modern reproductions lack.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Apparently yesterday was not my day... I tripped over a stump I didn't see, scraped my ankle and tweaked my back. I was preparing my porch for our firewood delivery. Well, turns out the guy that was going to be delivering our firewood called and canceled, probably just as I tripped. Apparently he fell out of his tree stand and broke his ankle. 😖 But it gets worse... he was also going to be the guy that was going to help us put in a heating and ac unit in the back room of the shop. A project that was supposed to start later this week. 😢
So, if you know anyone that cuts, splits and delivers firewood, 2 cords, please send their contact info. 😁 James is now looking for another HVAC guy too.
I'll see you all tomorrow!

Fredericktown ♥️
Well, yesterday I was attempting to find information for a miniature "Fredericktown" stoneware pitcher that I purchased and I got stuck down a rabbit hole.
I would truly love to be able to say that I have the photos/ postcards that I shared in my shop but I actually found most of them on ebay. And this morning I found a few more while searching the internet.
I haven't been yet, but I'll bet the Fredericktown Area Historical Society has plenty of wonderful old photos you can see in person.
However, I will continue my search as I am really intrigued by what I've been able to find so far. And who knows! Maybe The Treasure Chest will be making a few ebay purchases to bring those awesome pieces of history back home where they belong.
Thank you all for your interest. I had no idea those posts would draw such attention.
