FedEx Driver Caught on Camera Destroying $30,000 Delivery

We just watched a news story showing a FedEx driver throwing, kicking, and slamming boxes containing an estimated $25,000–$30,000 worth of stereo equipment.

As someone who has shipped over 70,000 packages and sold more than a million dollars worth of items online, this is exactly why I avoid using FedEx whenever possible.

Now, to be fair, every shipping company has great employees and bad employees. But when you see a driver treating expensive equipment like this on camera, you have to wonder what happens when nobody is watching.

The business owner said he may not even be able to use the equipment for his customer because he can't guarantee it wasn't damaged internally. Even if the boxes survive, the trust is gone.

This is also a good reminder for sellers: Pack your items like they're going to be dropped, tossed, stacked, and handled roughly—because sometimes they are.

What do you think? Have you had better luck with FedEx, UPS, or USPS?

Watch the video and let me know your thoughts in the comments.

💡 Sometimes Time Matters More Than Value 💡

This massive cast iron outdoor light was one of the most impressive pieces at the auction. Heavy, decorative, and the kind of item you don’t come across every day.

The interesting part? It sold for far less than what many people would consider its value.

Was it worth more? Probably.

But that’s one of the realities of auctions. The seller wasn’t testing the market for months or waiting for the perfect buyer. They were moving and needed everything gone. When a deadline is involved, items sell for whatever the bidders in the crowd are willing to pay that day.

Could it have brought more through a specialty marketplace or with a longer selling period? Very likely. But sometimes convenience, speed, and certainty are worth more than holding out for top dollar.

For one buyer, it was a bargain. For the seller, it was one less thing to move.

That’s what makes auctions so fascinating—you never know when a treasure is going to slip through the cracks.

Have you ever bought something you knew was worth far more than what you paid for it?

🔥 Auction Lesson of the Day: Don’t Be Afraid of the “Non-Runners” 🔥

This gas-powered wood splitter rolled across the auction block listed as not running, and because of that most people backed away. The bidding stayed low and it sold for a fraction of what a running splitter would bring.

Here’s the thing—sometimes “doesn’t run” means major engine problems… but sometimes it means old fuel, a dirty carburetor, a bad spark plug, or something simple that can be fixed in an afternoon.

That’s why auctions can be so much fun. You’re not just buying an item, you’re buying a possibility. The people willing to take a calculated risk are often the ones who find the best deals.

Would you have taken a chance on a non-running wood splitter, or would you have let someone else gamble on it?

As resellers, we’re all representing the community whether we realize it or not. When buyers receive a box full of fragile glassware tossed in with little to no protection, it doesn’t just hurt that one seller’s reputation it reflects on all of us.

Take a look at these photos. Beautiful vintage glass pieces shipped in a box that was far too small, with almost no wrapping or cushioning. The result? A box full of shattered glass.

I know shipping supplies cost money and packing takes extra time, but it’s part of the job. If an item isn’t worth packing correctly, it’s not worth selling. A few sheets of bubble wrap and a properly sized box can be the difference between a happy repeat customer and a refund.

For anyone new to reselling:
✅ Wrap each fragile item individually
✅ Use plenty of cushioning material
✅ Double-box valuable or delicate pieces
✅ Don’t force items into undersized boxes
✅ Shake the box before sealing—if things move, add more packing

The buyer got a refund, but the seller lost the item, the sale, and likely a future customer.
