County Farm Bureau presidents are invited to look "Beyond the Horizon" at the 2026 County Presidents Conference Dec. 5 in Manhattan. Through meaningful connections, collaborative problem solving and applied leadership experiences, participants will be empowered to move from managing the present to shaping the future, creating a lasting impact within their county Farm Bureau and across Kansas agriculture. Members are welcomed to join us next Wednesday, September 23rd for an evening of awards, yearly review, and guest speaker, Kansas Farm Bureau President, Glen Brunkow! An Italian style dinner catered by the Kitchen Table will be served! We will also hold a raffle for door prizes provided by our Board of Directors!!

Kansas Farm Bureau (KFB) will celebrate its 108th annual meeting Dec. 5-7 in Manhattan. The organization’s annual meeting will begin Saturday evening with KFB’s Foundation Fundraiser, themed around the National Finals Rodeo, which will be streamed live.

“Kansas Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting is where our grassroots organization comes to life,” says KFB President Glenn Brunkow. “It’s your opportunity to advocate for agriculture, learn alongside fellow members and celebrate the service that strengthens our organization. I hope you’ll join is in Manhattan this December.”

On Sunday, informational workshops, tradeshow vendors and a silent auction will be open to attendees. Jason Brown, former NFL lineman who now owns and operates First Fruits Farm in North Carolina, will provide the keynote address.

During the general session, awards for Friends of Agriculture, county Farm Bureaus, media and the 2026 mental health advocate will be presented. Farm Families of the Year and Leadership KFB will be recognized during the banquet Sunday evening, in addition to honoring the Distinguished Service honoree.

On Monday, voting delegates will debate and adopt policy statements for 2027, in addition to elections for KFB president and board members from even-numbered Farm Bureau districts.

The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) launched a photo contest to celebrate the contributions of America’s farmers in growing America into the nation it is today. The contest is part of AFBF's FARM 250 initiative, marking the nation’s 250th anniversary. The photo contest runs through Sept. 9.
