Sometimes you know a wastewater treatment is working because of what you stop noticing.

One Michigan municipality documented noticeable odor reduction after the first day of treatment.

Within days, operators also began seeing grease break down. Within weeks, grease buildup in the lift station had dropped significantly — from several inches of buildup to the point where operators could see water again.

Their records also showed improvements in dissolved oxygen, reduced polymer use, and less time spent cleaning walls and lift stations.

Small operational improvements can add up quickly — less odor, less buildup, less cleaning, and more time for everything else operators have to manage.

Sometimes the best results are the ones that solve more than the original problem.

One municipal wastewater customer began using our treatment in a main lift station to help control grease and odor. The station handles approximately 200,000 gallons per day.

Over time, operators reported:

Cleaner screening equipment
Less grease and fat buildup
Reduced scum buildup
Less maintenance
A 30-gallon drum lasting roughly two months

Their takeaway? The additional operational benefits meant the treatment was essentially paying for itself.

That’s what we like to see: fewer headaches, cleaner equipment, and a system that’s easier to manage.

Sometimes the best customer stories begin with a little skepticism.

Years ago, Jeff was explaining our treatment program to an operator who liked what he was hearing—but then pointed across the way and said:

“I like what I’m hearing, but you have to convince that man.”

So Jeff walked over and started talking. After some back-and-forth, the man finally said, “I’ll tell you what—I’ll give you a one-week trial.”

Four days later, he called Jeff.

“This stuff is amazing.”

He didn’t even need the full week.

Real operators. Real results. And one phone call Jeff has never forgotten.

We may have misunderstood the meaning of Labor Day weekend. 😂

While everyone else was relaxing, we were laboring—giving our future podcast and social media space some much-needed updates.

It still needs a few finishing touches, but it’s getting there…and that blank wall won’t be blank for long!
