My newest HOLIDAY TOWELS with a new pattern!!
Photo 1: I started them 2 weeks ago with red, emerald and natural colors of yarn. I put the yarn on a warping board in the pattern order. I filled the warping board 4 times to get to the width I wanted for the towels.
Photo2: From the warping board the yarn went on to the loom where I threaded 468 metal heddles each with one strand of yarn. After that, the yarn was threaded through the reef. The reed is what beats the yarn into place while weaving.
Photo 3, 4, 5: Then I started weaving and weaving and weaving some more. I wove fabric until I had enough to make 16 towels.
Photo 6,7: Today, the fabric is finished, preshrunk and I am finishing hemming all of them.
I have 16 Holiday Towels for sale - $26.00 each. I will have them at my last Craft show in Dakota Illinois at Holiday Happenings - Dakota Methodist Church- Friday November 13 & Saturday November 14.
