Baun Wins at Lorain Ohio Kartplex in the 206 masters category! While the rest of the 4Eighty8 team has been rather dormant this year, Baun has been running consistently in local races throughout the Lake Erie region on his Bevard Racing and Chassis Tuning Comet Eagle. He’s also been looking ever-so-sharp in his Mach One Racegear jacket and Shaw Stickers graphics!

Carson Smith P3/27 at Elkhart
At the last minute, Carson decided to head out to Elkhart on his Bevard Racing and Chassis Tuning Screamin’ Eagle and came back with some hardware! Also joining him was Fremont hotshot Jason Chase, who after coming across the scales light in Masters qualifying, passed a combined 32 karts in heat race action! Scott Smith also had a greatt showing in both Ignite classes, mixing it up near the front of the pack all weekend long.

The team decided to take a break from their organized program this year to allow a few of us to focus on our families, and other obligations. Rest assured, next year we will be back on the streets with our full roster!

Brandon Vandermeer pulls down a win at the first FRP Championship race in 206 Sr, powered by his New Gen Motorsport/Ghost Racing Engines Comet Eagle. This was the debut of our newly modified chassis, courtesy of Bevard Racing and Chassis Tuning. Needless to say, we consider this a success. The Shaw Stickers graphics and Design Engineering, Inc. cooling products look great, and the big BOSS Pro-Karting logo isn’t too bad on the eyes either! Brandon sported our Mach One Racegear custom suit, and had some free-rolling bearings thanks to Monkey Loob LLC lubrication products 😈🤟

4Eighty8 Performance will be taking to the streets in 2025, with a first for us: a full street-racing schedule! We are hitting ALL major US street races this year, in addition to supporting the Buckeye Karting Series and SIRA Karting. You will also find us at local events at Fremont, Lorain, Quaker City, NCMP, Whiteland and Thompson.

BIG announcement coming from 4Eighty8 this week, as we have partnered with Ghost Racing Engines and New Gen Motorsport for the 2025 season! Ghost and Newgen have been making some noise lately with a solid lo206 engine package, and have provided us with a few great powerplants in recent years. We are proud to officially partner with them and run their engines on our Comet Eagle chassis this season!
