🚨 Summer Employment Announcement 🚨

Brody recently learned how to embroider hats, so we made a deal: any hat orders he completes during summer break, he gets to keep 100% of the profits.

I’m pretty sure this is either excellent entrepreneurship or a direct violation of several child labor laws. 😆 (probably both)

Meanwhile, his older sister has chosen a different career path and appears to be pursuing a full-time position in sleeping in (if we survive these teen years it will be a miracle).

The news is getting out about HGTV filming in Fremont 👀👻

I was VERY excited to get the call from the producer of Very Haunted Renovation to create the wrap party hoodies for the crew members. It’s not every day (or even every lifetime) that a TV producer calls asking you to be part of a project like this.

Grateful for the opportunity and excited for everyone to see the episode this fall!

Happy International Women’s Day 💛

Today I’m celebrating the incredible women who show up every day: at work, at home, and in their communities, making things happen even when it isn’t easy.

Running a business has shown me just how powerful, resilient, and supportive women can be. And the greatest motivation of all is knowing that the next generation is watching.

Raising a daughter reminds me daily why it matters to keep pushing forward, building something meaningful, and showing her that strong women can lead, create, and make a difference.

Me opening a Facebook message from a repeat customer with the before image:

Customer: “Can we switch the text in the top line and bottom line?”

Also customer: “Remove the FD.”

Also customer: “Change the banner text.”

Also customer: “Take out the IV bag and replace with a hook."

Also customer: "No, no that hook, this hook"

Also customer: “Change the the helmet number and make it
bigger… no bigger… and center it. so you only see half”

Me (out loud): Say less. 😎

How is this machine different than my old one?

DTG printing (direct to garment) used to be for cotton only materials…and it was a long process

1. Lay the garment on a separate machine
2. Spray with a pretreat chemical mix
3. Heat press to set
4. Load image into the software, transfer to USB, then load image into the printer.
5. Put the shirt into the DTG printer
6. Heat press again to set the ink

It left shirts with a big boxy area where the pretreat chemical was but ink wasn’t applied. I would then wash and dry all the shirts before shipping.

But now…

I can do cotton, polyester, and more blends of fabrics in only 3 steps

1. Load the image into the software and drag it to the print queue
2. Put the shirt into the DTG printer (with built in pretreat chemical thats only applied to where the image/text goes)
3. Heat press to set the ink

That’s it and they’re ready to ship 😍
