My heart and head is so heavy seeing all of the devastation from Hurricane Helene and the destruction it has caused in what me and my family consider a home away from home in the mountains.

The town we visit the most and love is Banner Elk and like many other towns in the western region, they have been destroyed and practically wiped away. 💔

Tonight, while doing our devotion with our kids, it was about community caring (see 1st photo ⬇️). Its amazing how, just when you feel hopeless in helping that God reminds you, you are capable to help, even in a different way. As most know, I have three kids now and do not have to ability to leave home and go help rescue, recover and restore during this devastating time.

However, I have the availability to help raise funds to support the Baptist on a mission that have people and resources available to help in a time of need.

I would love to offer some fall designs for shirts and sweatshirts to be made and all proceeds would be donated in efforts to help provide water, supplies, food, shelter, and additional resources for those in need.

As one of my favorite hymns goes, “Little is much when God is in it! Labor not for wealth or fame”. I may only be one person and only able to contribute my time here at home and it may not be much but I believe when GOD is in it, he will multiply it and it will be a help to those in need.

“Don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.” Hebrews 13:16 (our devotion tonight)

For those interested in a t-shirt they are $23 for S-XL, $25 for 2XL and up. Sweatshirts are $35 for S-XL and $40 2XL and up.

Cut off for orders will be ✅ Friday, October 4th ✅ as I will need time to order shirts/sweatshirts and have them completed for you!

Getting to work in the shop today to make a few things!

This one hits home! 💙 This shirt is for my beautiful sister in-law! She wears many titles but one that is near and dear to her heart is being an Autism Mama! She has brought so much awareness over the past 12 years for my handsome nephew and I am so thankful for her mama heart and being the voice for those who have loved ones with autism!

First Strawberry 🍓 Cake of the Season!

Last year when I was pregnant with Magnolia
I had an insane craving for strawberries 🍓! Thanks goes out to Britt Farms for supplying those delicious strawberries to cure that pregnancy craving! Y’all go visit them this year at the Wayne County Farmers Market in Goldsboro behind the Maxwell Center! Some of the nicest people in Wayne County that you will ever meet! ☺️

NC strawberry Season is and has always been one of my favorite times of the year! The love of this strawberry cake comes from my late father in-law! Every year (I think) since I met my husband back in 2008, he made these strawberry cakes every strawberry season for our “After church Sunday Family Lunches”. They were always so light, fresh, sweet and just made me look forward to spring and summer! Now that he has passed on, every year I try to carry on the tradition of making at least one of these and this one today was a little extra special since it was for his oldest daughter’s birthday! I hope I made him proud and I hope to carry on this tradition for many years to come with all of my children (his grandchildren)! 💗
