You've probably seen DHA listed on tanning lotions—but what does it actually mean?
🧴 DHA = Dihydroxyacetone
✨ DHA reacts with amino acids in the outermost layer of your skin to create a temporary bronzed appearance.
⏰ It's not permanent!
The color gradually fades as your skin naturally sheds its outermost cells.
☀️ Think of DHA as a helper—not a replacement for tanning.
It can help enhance the appearance of your tan, but you still need to maintain your regular tanning routine to continue developing and maintaining your tan.
💡 So when you see DHA on a lotion label, now you know what it's doing!
