Badd Burgers Brings 50% Off Burgers to Fresno Every Wednesday Night‼️

FRESNO, Calif. Badd Burgers, the small musician owned gothic burger kitchen inside in Fresno’s Tower District, is giving locals a reason to make Wednesday night burger night.

Every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., all burgers are 50% off, making Half-Off Wednesdays one of the best recurring burger deals in Fresno.

But Badd Burgers has never been interested in being just another burger spot.

Built around gothic culture, music and late-night Fresno, the brand brings its black-and-red aesthetic into everything it does, right down to the goth “Baddy’s” serving the food. Located inside one of Fresno’s best-known music venues, Badd Burgers has also become a stop for notable names in the goth and alternative scene when their tours bring them through Fresno.

The menu is just as unconventional. Every beef burger has a plant-based twin, giving vegans and meat eaters the same experience without separating them into different menus.

For Badd Burgers, promotions like Half-Off Wednesdays are a way for a small independent business to compete without a massive advertising budget.

“We’re a small family-owned business just trying to get the word out,” said founder Tommy Marquez. “So instead of spending on traditional advertising, we’d rather put that money into doing something fun. Half-off burgers, giveaways, pop-ups, whatever gives someone a reason to come experience Badd Burgers for themselves.”

That approach extends beyond Fresno.

Badd Burgers recently popped up at Dark Circus in Visalia, serving an entirely vegan burger menu throughout the night and introducing the brand to more of the Central Valley’s goth community.

It is all part of a larger goal to create a restaurant brand that feels like it belongs to the culture surrounding it.

In a neighborhood already known for music, art, nightlife and individuality, Badd Burgers is adding its own spark to Tower District, one Baddie, burger and slightly unhinged promotion at a time.

At Badd Burgers, every beef burger has a plant-based twin. And “twin” doesn’t mean simply swapping out the beef patty. Each burger is recreated using plant-based meat, vegan cheeses, vegan buns and vegan sauces to mirror its beef counterpart.

“We never wanted to be another burger place with one vegan option,” says founder Tommy Marquez. “If we create something for the beef side, we create its twin. Everybody gets the same experience.”

The concept recently caught the attention of the Fresno Bee, which featured Badd Burgers’ move into Strummer’s and its approach to giving beef and plant-based customers versions of the same burgers.

That philosophy extends throughout the operation. Plant-based ingredients are stored separately and prepared using dedicated equipment on a dedicated grill. Even corresponding burgers are priced the same: the signature Badd Burger, for example, is $13 whether ordered beef or fully vegan. Despite higher costs on the plant-based side, demand for Badd Burgers’ beef burgers helps support overall margins, allowing the restaurant to keep its vegan burgers affordable without adding the typical plant-based premium.

The result is an unusually inclusive restaurant wrapped in a package that looks nothing like traditional plant-based dining.

Badd Burgers leans heavily into goth and music culture, with a black-and-red identity, burgers with names like The Heathen and La Bruja, and its slogan, “Fuel Evil. Taste Chaos!”

Its permanent home inside Strummer’s brings that identity into one of Fresno’s best-known live music venues — serving both beef and plant-based burgers late into the night.

For Marquez, the idea behind the world’s first mirrored menu remains simple:

“Every burger has a twin. We feed everyone.”
