Bowls turned from island-grown Garry Oak by artist Blake Hough on San Juan Island, Washington.

Garry Oak is a native hardwood in the Pacific Northwest, valued for its use in furniture, ships, or anywhere you desire strength and beauty. It is a variety of white oak, species name Quercus garryana.

Here is more of our slow-growth Douglas Fir, grown in the rain shadow of the Olympic Peninsula. We are located on the San Juan Island archipelago in the Salish Sea.

Our slow-growing Fir has incredibly tight growth ring structure. It's a delight to work with. We offer it in small blocks as a turning, carving, and craft wood. This board has about 15 growth rings per inch. Beautiful!
