Due to an island-wide power and internet outage here in Friday Harbor, our pharmacy is currently operating on generator power with limited capabilities.

At this time, we are unable to process most prescriptions, insurance claims, or phone calls. We are still here in person and will do our best to assist with urgent needs as safely as possible.

Please bear with us as there may be delays and temporary service interruptions.

We're currently scheduling appointments for flu shots and we've opened up a few clinic dates for the much anticipated new COVID booster. The COVID vaccine we have is Novavax. Feel free to use the link or give us a call to get scheduled.

Friday Harbor Drug is back in network with Medicaid managed by Express Scripts

The pharmacy is back in network and able to bill to both Coordinated Care and Community Health Plan of WA. We'd like to thank you for your patience, understanding, and for the continued pressure on Express Scripts. Ultimately without your help, we would likely still be waiting to have the issue resolved. They only reached out to us after they were receiving a lot of calls from members. Again, we really appreciate all the effort and for your patience as we navigated the process.

Medicaid Managed by Express Scripts Dropped Friday Harbor Drug from Network as of 2/28/24

The pharmacy was unexpectedly and without notice dropped from the network for managed care Medicaid plans that are run by Express Scripts. As far as we can tell, this affects members enrolled in both Coordinated Care and Community Health Plan of Washington. If you're enrolled in one of those plans, this means we currently can't bill them for your medications and you would have to pay the price without your insurance. Express Scripts won’t allow us to speak to anyone by phone and the automated responses to our emails say it could be 7-10 days just for a reply. This seems UNACCEPTABLE to us and we need your help.

How can you help?

If you are a member of one of these plans, we urge you to file complaints/grievances against Express Scripts with your corresponding plan and the WA state OIC to help us get back in-network. This has been the only way we’ve gotten traction on these issues previously.
