Come on down to Heritage Park in Matagorda, 3 blks west of the the 4 way stop. Matagorda Historical Society will be having it's annual CHRISTMAS IN JULY Fundraising event!! We have just over 50 vendors and what else you ask?? Well...we will have a CAKE WALK, CARNIVAL GAMES, A FREE PETTING ZOO and TRAIN rides for the kiddos. Mata Smash Burger will be selling their delicious burgers and MORE! Some of the confirmed vendors are: Kind Cattle Co. , Broadway Girls Hat Bar , Rustic Pots, Mamas Tamales, CW Designs and many more!!! AND>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Matagorda Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring "Celebrating America's 250th Birthday" Parade!!! Check on their page for all the details..Parade starts at 9:30 AM at the corner of Lewis and Cypress Sts. in Matagorda, TX! Come on down to Heritage Park and you might even catch a glimpse of the Jolly fellow from wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy up NORTH!

Have you heard....Christmas is coming to Matagorda on July 4, 2026!!! We have so many activities and vendors that will be going on from 9 AM to 4 PM at Heritage Park, 722 Laurel St. Matagorda, TX!!!! Here are a few of the vendors that will be at the event: Rusty Hook Winery, G and L Gnome Goods, Daily Bread Bakehouse, T.Lynn Designs and Beachy Tee & more!!! There about 45 more vendors and we will be highlighting those as well!! Bring the kids...we have plenty of children activities as well...Train Rides, Carnival Games and there is a RUMOR the Jolly Man from the North Pole will be making a special guest appearance!!! PLEASE JOIN US FOR THIS FUN FILLED DAY!!!
