I wanted to share these, simply because they were illustrated by my very talented Sister-in-law.

Do any FOL organizations in the DFW area accept books or DVDs from other FOL groups?

I've talked to several recently who either have left-overs from their own booksales, or are receiving so many donations that they can't hold/process them all. (PS - the photo is AI-generated, and not an actual overload.)

Interested in becoming a volunteer at the Frisco Public Library? They are hosting an Adult Volunteer Open House on Tuesday, August 25, from 6:30pm - 8:00pm in the Creativity Commons room at the library. The open house will give new volunteers a chance to learn more about the opportunities offered at the library and to ask questions.

Additionally, if you're a current volunteer, the open house is the perfect time to ask them any questions you have about any aspect of your volunteering role. They would love to see you and chat with you.

For more information, here is the description of the event on their website:

Bulk DVD Series Inventory – Partial Sets / Ex-Library

We are clearing out multiple boxes of partial DVD series sets. These are mostly TV series or multi-disc DVD sets that are missing one or more discs.

We collected these over the past 5 years with the plan to find the missing discs, complete the sets, and resell them. The sets we kept had resale potential when scanned, and we have completed and sold many sets this way. We are now getting ready to scale back and are clearing out the remaining inventory.

Most are U.S. English series, with a few Spanish-language sets mixed in. All are ex-library items and may have library stickers, markings, wear, or missing discs.

Good opportunity for:

-eBay resellers
-Media sellers
-Flea market vendors
-DVD collectors
-Anyone who completes partial sets

Too many boxes to photograph each set individually. Please ignore any writing on the boxes.

Sold as bulk partial-set inventory. No individual browsing; we want to sell in bulk.
