This is the one weekend we don't schedule anything.

Union Peak Festival has been our end-of-summer thing for years.

It's at Copper from the 28th to the 30th, and the thing most people up here still don't know is that the music doesn't cost a cent.

The Revivalists Friday at 7. Turnpike Troubadours Saturday at 6. You walk into Center Village and stand there.

The days fill up too. A 5k off the top of the American Eagle, a group ride Saturday, an art market in the village, sunrise yoga on Jack's Lawn that's free and needs no sign-up.

And when you make up the rules to your business, make them live up to the lifestyle!

Enter our ā€œPowder Day Clauseā€ which allows our team to get outside & enjoy a powder day & open up our shops at 11am if we receive over 6 inches of snow the night before.

Hereā€™s the reality, the only people jumping outta bed on a powder day are on the mountain & our other shoppers are cozied up enjoying the snow day & will pop in later. Itā€™s a win-win for everyone!

There was only about 1 inch in the forecast last night but we told the sky, ā€œYou can snow some more!!! Donā€™t worry just let it fallā€ and youā€™re welcome because it worked!!
