Some books deserve to be read again and again. Some deserve to be passed down. And some (some…not ALL 😉) deserve a special edition this beautiful. 🤍 I cried when it arrived in-store. 😆 Enjoy this awkward video I recorded the day this beauty landed at MSB. Clearly video snippets are not my forte but I love it so much I’m willing to put a cringey video out into the world. 🤪

This brand new edition of The Giver by Lois Lowry is STUNNING. A gorgeous edition of a story that has stayed with this reader for generations.

Main Street Books is teaming up with The Palace Theatre for this month’s showing of Brazil. We’ll be giving away free copies of George Orwell’s 1984 as our choice for a title that pairs well with the movie.

Come see the movie. And grab a classic to take home.

I love being able to pair our bookstore with our historic theater and create opportunities for our community to experience stories in more than one way.

Kurt sat down with Who Would Win? Think vs Hippo this afternoon and it started a conversation between all of us at the bookstore, pulled customers into the debate, and had everyone making their case for who would come out on top.

And honestly? That’s the fun of it.

Just imagine the conversations you could have with your kids over these books. They’re small in size but packed with animal facts! Who’s stronger? Who’s faster? Who has the better strategy? Who would actually win?

A little friendly arguing, a lot of laughing, and screen-free family time all wrapped up in a book. ❤️ So… WHO WOULD WIN? Hippo 🦛or Rhino? 🦏
