Every year for my dad’s birthday I sponsor a movie at the Palace. Palace movie date nights are something we try to do together throughout the year. This year I opted for Bonnie & Clyde the month after his actual birthday so we’re celebrating today! 🎉

Main Street Books will be closing at 6:30 and will reopen tomorrow at 10am. Come join us tonight at the Palace! 🍿🎥

📦Grateful for our kids who have been willing to put in a little work during summer break! ❤️

Everyone has a job around here and one this job happened to end with the best kind of paycheck… milkshakes! 🥤

Hard work, some family time, and a little sweet reward. We’ll call that a pretty good summer day and I’m sad to see them ending.

Mary’s display is one of the first things you see when you walk through the doors of MSB. And it’s one of my favorite things. 😍 Right now it’s full of incredible books by women in translation in celebration of Women in Translation month. And apparently I was ahead of the ball for once 🤣 because all three of my favorites on the Bookseller Picks table are women in translation, too! 😂

Clearly, I have a type. And it’s a good one. 💕📖

The Rainbow Fish is making a splash on Mount Savage Middle School’s stage TOMORROW NIGHT ONLY! 🐠✨

MSB will be there to cheer on our own little fish, ahem, te****le 🐙 and will also have a limited supply of this timeless favorite available for purchase before the show. Whether you’re introducing a new generation to the story or replacing a well-loved copy, this is the perfect keepsake to take home. 🐟🐡

Even better? A portion of every book sold at the performance will go directly back to Mount Savage Middle School’s Drama Underground to support their incredible work bringing the arts to our community of talented student artists.

As our very part-part-part-time bookstore cat, her responsibilities include:
📚 Supervising the stacks from the top of the staircase
☀️ Finding the sunniest spot in the store to catnap
😴 Taking well-earned breaks every 5-7 minutes and meowing for her human, John
