For this set I chose a cow elk, because nothing shows grace in these mountains like an elk.
I was hunting with my father in law and we saw a cow with grown twins. It was his shot but he said he would wait. “It takes a lot to succeed in getting twins to that age. She’s earned my respect!” These twins were old enough to be on their own and the cow was ready to breed again. Everyone had made it through the summer healthy and strong. It takes a lot to be a mom but this cow had done it with grace and grit.
