5 Wrap Tips You NEED to Know

1. Don’t wrap dirty edges
Your panel can look clean, but if the edge isn’t properly cleaned and degreased, your vinyl can lift.

2. Knifeless tape placement matters
Where you place your knifeless tape can make or break your cut. Position it strategically so you have enough vinyl to properly wrap the edge.

3. Use your squeegee strategically
Don’t just push every wrinkle toward the edge. Sometimes the best move is to lift the vinyl, relax the material, and change your squeegee direction.

4. Don’t over-stretch the vinyl
Stretching can make installation easier, but excessive tension can cause the vinyl to shrink back or lift later.

5. Always post-heat your edges
After wrapping an edge, properly post-heat it and apply pressure. This helps the adhesive settle and reduces the chance of the vinyl lifting.
