Lisa and Jeff Ross, the artists of Piedmont Pottery, have been making pottery since the mid-1970s. Our goal is to make affordable pottery and jewelry that is both functional and beautiful.

Crafting Night Out: Decorate a stoneware butterfly garden stake!
Saturday, June 6, 6:30-8:30 PM

DETAILS: Relax with your friends during this two-hour workshop decorating a hand-made stoneware butterfly garden stake and creating something that reflects your unique style which you can display for years to come, while enjoying complimentary wine (21 years or older), water, and chocolates! The workshop cost is $45 and includes a hand-crafted stoneware butterfly, all additional materials and instruction. Under the guidance of our skilled caftspersons, you will decorate your stoneware butterfly, choosing from our wide variety of underglazes for painting it in your own unique style. After you finish, we will glaze your butterfly with a transparent coat of glaze, fire it and then mount it on a galvanized spike, suitable for use in your garden or in a flower pot.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 6, 6:30-8:30 PM.

Make your own Fused Glass Charcuterie Board
Saturday, February 28, 4:00-6:00 PM

Create your own custom charcuterie board! You will learn how to manipulate thin rods of glass over a candle flame and collage precut and crushed glass to bring your own design to life! The small class size of 5 people allows for plenty of hands-on instruction and quiet conversation. Each student will design their own 8’’x8’’ glass tray which will be fired after class to be picked up in 1-2 weeks. The cost for this event is $70.00. Register now to save your spot!

Guest Instructor Emily Morrison is a glass artist and instructor. She first explored glass in undergrad at Pratt Institute in NYC and later at the Northlands Creative Glass in Lybster Scotland. She worked 8 years as a glass fabricator, working closely with artists and designers to execute their visions in glass. She later started the Funfetti Collection, a line of whimsical handmade home goods, and began teaching workshops, with the intention of helping others enjoy creative play in a supportive environment.

February Crafting Night Out:
An Evening of Wine and Roses and Chocolate
Decorate a porcelain rose.
Saturday, January 25, 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
Relax with your friends while decorating hand-sculpted porcelain roses and enjoying
complimentary wine, soft drinks, and snacks. Our workshops are a fun way to create
memories and masterpieces that you can display for years to come. Get together
with your favorite friends and make something that reflects your unique style! And
what’s better than toasting to a good time with friends?
The event will take place on Saturday, January 25, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. The cost is
$35, and includes all materials and instruction. Plus, we’ll provide participants with a complimentary glass of wine (21 years or older) and/or other non-alcoholic
refreshments and snacks during this two-hour class while a local artist craftsperson
guides you through the evening.
DETAILS: In this workshop, you’ll receive a hand-crafted porcelain rose. Under the
guidance of our skilled caftspersons, you will decorate your rose, choosing from our
wide variety of underglazes for painting in your own unique style. After you finish, we
will glaze your rose with a transparent coat and then mount it on a wire stem with
artificial rose leaves.

Create a fused glass Sun Catcher

Relax with your friends while creating your own fused-glass Sun Catcher and enjoying complimentary wine and snacks. Our workshops are a fun way to create memories and masterpieces that you can display for years to come. Get together with your favorite friends and make something that reflects your unique style! And what’s better than toasting to a good time with friends?

The event will take place on Saturday, July 26, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. The cost is $75, and includes all materials and instruction. Plus, we’ll provide participants with a complimentary glass of wine (21 years or older) and chocolates during this two-hour class while a local artist craftsperson guides you through the evening. In this two-hour workshop students will get to experiment with a variety of glassworking techniques in a supportive and laid-back atmosphere. We will create a small 4’’ suncatcher with hooks to hang in your window! Students will have the opportunity to learn how to cut sheet glass, manipulate thin rods of glass over a candle flame, incorporate metal with glass and decorate their project with colorful accessory glass. Not only will participants walk away with a suncatcher but also an introduction to glassworking. After the class the pieces will be fused in a kiln and available for pickup in about a week’s time.
