Feeling a little nostalgic on the Labor Day. This recipe came from my sister over 30 years ago. Maybe longer, sometimes I forget just how old I am. 😂. As soon as the smell came from the oven I remembered why we all loved it so much.

Two loaves of onion bread, one for a friend who’s having us over for lunch and one for us because showing up empty handed is rude, but having my husband smell it fresh out of the oven and not being able to eat it is ruder.

My baking buddy is here for the week. Katie is making an ice cream cake for her cousin’s birthday because apparently regular birthday cake just wasn’t cool enough! (See what I did there) 🤣

Someone ordered a peanut butter pie. Never made one before. I immediately researched peanut butter pies like it was my college final. Landed on Preppy Kitchen’s recipe. Who knew I still had baking adventures left at my age? 😉

My granddaughter, Katie, is coming up from NC , and my only preparation for her visit is baking. Not because she eats that many cookies. Because when Katie comes my house becomes an all-inclusive resort the minute she arrives. Which means that there’s likely to be 3-4 teenage girl cousins here throughout the week. The cookie jar doesn’t stand a chance.
