“Retired” is an interesting word in collecting, but it isn’t the whole answer.

A retired Steiff piece may catch a collector’s attention because it is no longer being made. But serious interest usually comes from the details around it:

🔹 Which piece is it?
🔹 What era is it from?
🔹 What materials were used?
🔹 Are the identifying marks intact?
🔹 What is the condition?
🔹 Does the story hold together?
