A major shift is happening in the studio!
As an adult adoptee raised in Ohio, recent discoveries have led me back to my roots in Southern Louisiana. I learned that my Acadian ancestors were master textile creators, passing down maternal bonds through hand-spun heirloom brown cotton.
Uncovering these roots shows that my deep love for the tactile rhythm of fiber art makes perfect sense โ it's in my blood!
While plant hangers, necklaces, and workshops will still be available for order, I am embarking on a new creative journey of ancestral reclamation.
Iโll be documenting the process of learning the techniques of carding, spinning, and weaving, as well as regaining and connecting with the parts of me that were lost to adoption.
I hope to uncover, inspire, and educate as you follow along with this journey. ๐ฟ
