I live in Gainesville, Florida with my cats and my husband. I have maybe two friends, two degrees; a bachelor’s in art history and anthropology, and a master’s in library science. I may or may not have failed because I am currently not using either of those degrees. At 34, I am still trying to figure life out but what I do know is that I love being an artist, I love antiques, vintage, and oddities
, and I love sharing my passions with other people. Sleepy Cat was formed from that general idea. I’ve watched my kitties sleep and I’ve thought many times, “I wish I could be that at peace without a care in damn world”. Well, if you’ve met me you know I’m neurotic enough to never be at fully at peace and I am certainly too far gone to ever live without a care in the world, bless my heart. However, I am at peace just enough when I make art or scavenge for just the right vintage needlepoint, that I feel content enough to continue with those passions. We aren’t even Walmart at best, but we are here nonetheless. Check out the store to view and purchase my artwork (please because I am actually a sad, broke little artist person).
