Whew! Another Recruitment season in the books…the 6th in a row for U Rok Box! Gator Mom Shannon sending a huge congratulations to MC’ 26. Today was my 3rd consecutive day delivering the celebratory sorority BidBox to new recruits! The houses were stunning on Bid Day, sporting elaborate themes for the ladies to “run home to” after an exhilarating and exhausting Recruitment week. As a 4th gen Gainesville native, I’ve had family members in UF sororities for over 70 years. A few years ago when my Gator girl chose to ‘rush’, the pride of carrying on the family tradition helped balance the anxiety I felt watching her navigate the recruitment rollercoaster. She ended up at a great house and made wonderful friends in addition to becoming a PiChi (recruitment counselor)the following year to help guide and support other new PNM’s through the process. 💐Gratitude to all the PiChi’s and sisters who worked tirelessly to make 2026 the best yet. And to the parents and families who may have been subject to late night calls with tears (of joy and otherwise) you deserve applause too! 💝👏🏼🐊✨

Many parents have requested our celebratory Sorority Bid Box be delivered to their Gator Girl tomorrow, on Bid Day... but the scale of the balloons & bedazzlery of Bid Day parties is best compared to Mardi Gras...hours of shrieks, dancing, selfies, music, pandemonium!
