Bar grounding is the job for a bit this morning! I’m working on a pretty snazzy belt…..bar grounding is like watching paint dry lol but it sure makes a project pop!

Bar grounding is a leather tooling technique where a textured stamp—called a bar grounder—is hammered repeatedly into the background of a carved design to create depth, shadow, and visual contrast.

Thank you Avery O'Meara for your belt order! This one was by far one of the most unique belts I have ever made. Avery requested an assortment of hoof and feet tracks on this belt for a future Veterinarian friend. Never did I think I’d be putting lizard tracks on a belt…but it was fun for sure!
