This is the first time I’m opening up publicly about this ancient healing and wisdom practice, but I’ve been doing guided shamanic medicine journeys since last summer.

This weekend, I brought my favorite photo of Wolfgang and me and kept it right beside me throughout the journey.

At one point, I felt his presence resting on my chest in the exact way he used to when he was alive. I hadn’t felt that sensation since losing him, and it was one of the most profound healing moments I have ever experienced.

What has been so powerful about this process is that it has helped me not only move through grief, but also see truth more clearly.

Truth about what I need to release.
Truth about what still lives in my heart.
Truth about who I am becoming.

Sometimes healing doesn’t come as an answer.
Sometimes it comes as a feeling your body remembers.
A moment of connection.
A deep knowing.

This ancient wisdom process has been a profound pathway for healing, clarity, and connection for me, and this weekend’s journey reminded me that love never really leaves us.

Wolfgang’s presence, love, and guidance are still with me, and feeling that so deeply was both beautiful and healing beyond words.

Losing a beloved animal companion can feel incredibly isolating, and grief doesn’t follow a timeline.

That’s why I offer a free monthly Wolfie’s Wish Pet Loss Support Group — a gentle space to be seen, supported, and understood by others who truly get it.

Whether your loss is recent, anticipated, or happened years ago, your grief is welcome here. You do not have to carry it alone.

Join us each month for connection, compassion, and a place to honor the love that never leaves.

Today I visited a crematory to ask about pre-planning for my own cats. While I was there, another family came in with their dog. The interaction wasn’t unkind—it just wasn’t human.

No acknowledgment of grief. No softness. Just procedures.

This isn’t about blaming individuals. It’s about an industry that trains people on logistics, not language.

Families remember how you make them feel in these moments for the rest of their lives.

Compassion is a skill. And it can be taught.
That’s what I do, and it’s my pleasure and purpose. I have two Continuing Education trainings available. One of which I will be presenting with in March.

I haven’t been super open about how much my spiritual practice has carried me through some heavy seasons… but it’s time to stop hiding that part of my strength. 💛

Higher Power, grief, and action.
Sometimes they all meet in the same breath.

I came across this passage today and it hit me right in the heart:

“Trust in your Higher Power and do something.”
— Mary Lyon

Grief is a bridge between what was and what’s becoming. It deserves to be felt, honored, and moved through… but it doesn’t get to run the show forever.

There comes a moment—quiet, unmistakable—when the heaviness starts to feel too small for who we’re becoming. An idea nudges us. An opportunity pops up. A spark returns. And even if we think, ugh, too much effort, that’s usually the sign:

Do it anyway.
Stretch.
Reach.
Try something new.
Give the new energy a place to land.

Transformation doesn’t always feel glamorous. Sometimes it’s just testing the walls of our cocoon and noticing they’re starting to give way.

Today, I’m trusting my Higher Power… and taking action. Even tiny action. Because both matter.

🐾🎨 More Than a Portrait 🎨🐾

Every pet portrait I create is more than paint on canvas—it’s a love story. I study their eyes, their quirks, and the joy they bring, capturing not just their likeness but their spirit.

For the pet parent, it’s a forever keepsake. For me, it’s an honor to turn memories into something you can hold close. 💛

New Episode Alert: The Love of Baxter 🐾

In the latest episode of the Wolfie’s Wish Podcast, I had the honor of speaking with Adam Greenbaum, founder of WhiskerCloud, about the dog who changed his life—Baxter.

Baxter wasn’t just a pet. He was family, a constant, and a source of love and strength. Adam shares the deeply personal story of their bond, Baxter’s passing, and how that grief shaped his mission to help others in the pet space.

💬 We talk about:
• Coping with the loss of a soul dog
• Turning grief into purpose
• Why honoring our pets’ legacy matters
• And how Baxter continues to inspire everything Adam does

This episode is a heartfelt reminder that the love we share with our pets never truly ends. It simply changes form.

This was taken not long after I adopted Millie and her sister. I waited three months. That was the perfect amount of time for us to start to heal our hearts after Wolfgang had his tragic death. The bond between humans and animals is more than companionship — it’s sacred, healing, and deeply emotional. A connection that speaks without words, and comforts without conditions. 💞🐾

This is my best friend Vanilli Bear 🐱💛 I waited a little over two months after losing Wolfgang before I was ready to open my heart again. There’s no perfect timeline…it has to feel right for you.

You have to be in a place where you can fully love and care for a new soul, without comparison or hesitation. If you’re still in deep grief or struggling to care for yourself, it’s okay to wait.

Healing first is an act of love too. 💫
