And finally the most difficult project.........the family room. It was large, detailed, and had some mind trying CNC cut glass cabinet doors. Judy even got in on helping sand those things. We are truly thankful to Eric and the crew at EG Custom Homes for the opportunity and confidence in us. And also to their wonderful clients!

This one was hard to get pics of. Just completed wainscot in a 5 x 8 powder bath for a Sarah Cain Designs client. Also Integrated a little hidden storage. It was tough getting 2 grown men in a small bath with tools and product, on a humid 100 degree Florida day, with mandatory face mask! Definitely pushing the tolerance level. But then thought about all my Dr friends and what they have to wear everyday...........never mind.

So a week and a half ago I had a new client walk in with a unique challenge.....and I do like a good challenge. He brought a rotted piece of trim from the bottom of an older Pella window. He had searched all over for replacements or someone who could match it. John Davis, a local furniture repair / refinishing expert and a friend, turned him on to me. After a little thought, a custom set of knives for the top profile, some 2” poplar, and about 6 hrs work we had about 50’ of matching trim. Nice way to spend a Saturday.

Well, after what seems like a life time of working on sawhorses and plywood, I finally built “big boy” workbenches for the shop. All the pieces were cut on the CNC out of 3/4” plywood and assembled Saturday morning with the help of my friend Eric Gonzalez. Those that know me know how a**l I can be, and I have always been ashamed of my workbenches. I am now as proud them as I am of the entire shop. My daughter said when I showed her a pic of them “ Wow they look so professional!”.......I thought.....and it only took 58 years.
