Fun Fact Friday: Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers primarily eat sap but they will also eat the bugs attracted to the sap coming from the "sapwells" they created - look for rows of drill holes in the bark of trees. This also provides a great feeding ground for hummingbirds!
October marks the return of the Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker! Look up to the pine trees to see this uniquely patterned woodpecker.
