Did you know that we have a non-profit dedicated to distributing banned and challenged books in the state of Florida?

Summer doesn't slow us down, with donations made in June alone to , , and the Alachua County Jail Library. We're partnering with community groups throughout the state to help get banned books into readers' hands–and our reach is ever-expanding.

Read (gay) books this Pride month and support the Pride Community Center while doing it !! 🌈📚

Today, we sat down with Jan, one of the PCC's incredible volunteers, to learn about the PCC's community library of over 1,000 titles. All Pride month long, The Lynx is hosting a book drive to help expand their library even more!

All you have to do is buy books from your favorite q***r, trans, gay, sapphic, + authors from our LGBTQ+ section or our Pride month table displays. A portion of every LGBTQ+ title purchased in June will go directly to new books for the PCC library.
