🧠 The Calmest Experiment With the Darkest Ending…
Welcome to Universe 25 — the utopia that destroyed itself.

In the 1970s, scientist John B. Calhoun created a rodent paradise:

âś” Unlimited food & water
âś” No predators
âś” Clean, safe, climate-controlled space
âś” Everything mice could ever need

But something chilling happened.

At first, the population grew rapidly. Then… social breakdown began:

âš  Mothers abandoned their young
âš  Violence and cannibalism emerged
âš  Mice withdrew, stopped socializing
⚠ Some only groomed themselves endlessly — the “beautiful ones”

Despite abundance, the population collapsed to extinction.

📉 No disease. No famine. Just total psychological and societal collapse.

Calhoun called it the “behavioral sink” — a grim warning about what happens when a society loses structure, purpose, and meaningful connection.

🔍 Decades later, Universe 25 still haunts sociologists and urban planners.

Is it just about mice? Or a mirror held up to humanity?
