Warehouse Update #3 | The Nerd Store
Is Taking Shape
A lot has changed this week! We're making progress on the marketplace and 1 finally got to show off part of my favorite section... the nerd store.
We'll be stocking video games,
Pokémon cards, toys, VHS tapes, DVDs, collectibles, and plenty of nostalgia. We also got a look at the playground area coming together for families visiting the marketplace.
Every week this place feels a little more real. We can't wait to open the doors and show everyone what we've beenREE building.

We’ve been blown away by the interest from vendors so far. Our antique, candle, and soap spaces are currently full, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support.

As we continue building Pop’s Estate & Marketplace, we’d love to add some new and unique businesses to the mix. If you create, collect, restore, repurpose, or sell something different, we’d love to hear from you.

Our goal is to create a marketplace where every visit feels like a treasure hunt and every vendor brings something special to the community.

It's been a busy week for us at Pop's Estate & Marketplace.

While we're hard at work renovating our new storefront in Flowery Branch and preparing for our grand opening this summer, we're also hosting another great estate sale this weekend in Gainesville.

If you've been following along with our journey, we'd love for you to come out and visit us. Estate sales are where it all started for our business, and they're still one of our favorite ways to connect with our community and help families through life's transitions.

This week's sale is packed with vintage toys, collectibles, glassware, Harley-Davidson memorabilia, household items, antiques, and plenty of unique treasures waiting to be discovered.

This is exactly why we started Pop’s Estate & Marketplace.

We wanted more than just a store. We wanted a place where local businesses could support each other, share customers, and grow together.

We’re excited to have New Beginnings Brew joining us next month, and we’re even more excited that they’re looking for a local baker to partner with. If you’ve got a talent for baked goods, we’d love to see another small business find a home here.

July can’t get here soon enough. We’re having a blast building something special for our community.

Business Update Part One:

We officially signed the lease and have begun construction on our new home for Pop's Estate & Marketplace!

Over the next few weeks, we'll be transforming 7,500 square feet at 5540 Atlanta Hwy, Suite E in Flowery Branch into North Georgia's Indoor Estate Sale Marketplace.

Our goal is to open our doors sometime within the first two weeks of July, and we couldn't be more excited.

What can you expect?

Estate sale finds year-round
Furniture, antiques, collectibles, décor, tools, and more
Local small businesses and specialty vendors under one roof
Consignment services
We buy items, collections, and estates
Inventory sourced from estate buyouts, consignments, moving jobs, and cleanouts

We're also beginning tours for prospective vendors next week. If you're a small business, collector, reseller, artist, or specialty retailer looking for a unique storefront opportunity, we'd love to talk with you. Vendor spaces start at just $1.50 per square foot plus an 8% sales commission.

This project has been a dream in the making, and we're grateful for everyone who's supported us along the way. We can't wait to share the progress and welcome you inside soon!

Big announcement / community brainstorming post 👀

I’ve come across a REALLY cool opportunity in downtown Flowery Branch and wanted to put some feelers out to the public before making a final decision.

I’ve found a 7,500 square foot historical retail/warehouse building with incredible character, two loading docks, great bones, and flexible retail/warehouse zoning. The vision is to create something much bigger than just “another antique store.”

My business, Pop’s Estate & Marketplace, would likely occupy 3,500+ square feet for our own operations including:
• Estate sale operations
• E-commerce & online auction pickups
• Furniture & collectibles
• Local retail shopping
• Warehouse/logistics space
• Content creation & live sales

We would have staff onsite 3–5 days a week, and depending on the partnership structure, our team may also be able to assist with parts of YOUR operation such as:
• Customer interaction
• Listing products online
• Shipping/receiving
• Social media
• Donation intake
• General warehouse help
• Cross-marketing opportunities

One partnership we’re especially excited about is with a nonprofit organization we’ve been working alongside. We’d love for them to operate from the space as well, creating a public-accessible area focused on donation intake, nonprofit awareness, education, and community impact.

Our team is already willing to help support their mission through free labor, transportation logistics, and operational assistance. Since this entire concept is new and being built from the ground up, we’re hoping to find additional partners and tenants that help make the overall space financially sustainable for everyone involved.

The catch? The building is honestly bigger than what I need alone, and instead of just stuffing it full of random booths, I’d love to build something unique and collaborative with the right people.

So I’m looking for:
1️⃣ Categorized vendor booths (antiques, records, vintage clothing, collectibles, books, gaming, handmade goods, etc.)

2️⃣ Businesses needing shared retail or warehouse space

3️⃣ Nonprofits looking for a public-accessible community space

4️⃣ Established e-commerce sellers or retail stores wanting to expand into a physical presence

5️⃣ Creative partnerships or totally new ideas I haven’t even thought of yet

The goal would be to create a destination spot in Flowery Branch that blends retail, warehouse, estate liquidation, local business, online sales, and community involvement into one space.

Potential rent-sharing would likely range around $0.80–$1.20/sq ft depending on:
• Amount of space needed
• Type of usage
• Shared staffing/help needed
• Length of commitment
• Monthly vs annual payment structure

I’m not looking to cram people in just to pay bills. I’d rather carefully build a strong group that complements each other and creates something genuinely exciting for the community.

This has been in the works for a while…

When we started Pop’s, it was storage, moving, and helping families through estate situations. Over time, we ended up with something else too—a LOT of great inventory and a bigger vision.

We’re working toward opening a physical location where all of this comes together—estate items, furniture, antiques, collectibles, and vendor spaces—all in one place.

A spot where things are always changing and there’s always something new to find.
