This is what I'm showing instead (see previous post.) I'm calling it "Surrealist's Tree." I used water-soluble color pencils on paper. The frame is 10x12 w/5x 7 opening. BTW: for any locals, this show is for the Montgomery Art Association (I'm a member 👍) "Autumn's Transformation" Exhibit at the Kensington Park Library. Kensington, Maryland Town of Kensington

We all know it's not Springtime and beautiful roses 🌹aren't blooming (outside, that is) anywhere in my part of the world 🌎 but in the midst of making Christmas cards, I got a hankering to try just one (there are lots more) of the number of combinations from the Altenew Vintage Roses layering stamp set (that I bought months ago) and then one from the Painted Bloom mini set. I didn't really know what I was doing, but followed the handy guide that came with the Vintage Roses set and then experimented too.I like what I'm seeing and will do some more playing around and experimenting. I'll likely use these for stamping on greeting cards...some that may find their way to my vintage booth for sale. Altenew has a very generous Angel policy and allows for up to 100 cards per design per year! Well, let's just say I won't have to worry about even getting close to that. 😌Now, back to my Christmas 🎄 card making. I'm determined to make some pretty ones and get them out ASAP! Happy Holidays to all...get that shopping and crafting done..time's a wasting! 😆

HOLIDAY GREETINGS! Playing around & getting warmed up to make some . The paper for this traditional design (I think it’s from ) was really the thing that started my inspiration. I brought out some old glitter glue and puffy paint AND some of the that I purchased a few years ago from on Etsy to embellish the wreaths. I have a big stash of regular glitter, (see 3rd pic) but don’t use it anymore or very seldom due to the huge pollution crisis we have of micro-plastics in our waste streams that end up inside of fish and other marine life and ultimately, I guess they can end up in us😲. With using the glitter glue, I think 🤔 there’s a bit less glitter and it’s bound up in the glue, so maybe there won’t be so much floating free? 😬That’s what I tell myself anyway.🫣The beautiful Season’s Greeting die is from Vintage Christmas, Nature’s Garden by and I thought it worked so perfectly on the patterned paper. (This card is a one off bc I don’t have much of this paper.) It cuts so beautifully and then I glued two together to get a bit more dimension. Fun! Are you making and cards to send out this year? If so, what are you doing?

VERY INTERESTING! BUT...Some things that may be very salable, it's best not to sell....
I picked this up from a huge bin of old & newer books at a local thrift store. I love antique and vintage paper publications and ephemera. This publication was full of pages with the lovely brownish & torn aged edges that I'm so fond of. It wasn't until I had a chance to look at my little treasure more closely, that I saw what it was: a publication, controversial in nature, of American-German born propaganda from 1921. George Sylvester Viereck, a journalist and published poet, was the editor. To the left and right side of the masthead title "The American Monthly" (formerly published as "The Fatherland,") it reads: "America First" and "America Only." In 1941 Viereck served 3 years 10 months in federal prison for violation of the "Foreign Agents Registration Act." You can look him up on Google and FYI: I've included a link to a brief bio summary here from U of Iowa library https://aspace.lib.uiowa.edu/agents/people/1363
