Great American Popcorn Company began in 1994 when our parents, David & Catherine Lewis, made Galena, Illinois, their full-time home. They left behind corporate jobs in Chicago for a different way of life, one in which family and top-notch customer service would be at the forefront of their business model. Being raised in the store, we watched our folks treat every customer who walked in the door l

ike family. With kids of our own running around now and a lifelong love for popcorn, we will always uphold the same level of customer service that our folks founded our family business on. Our simply delicious popcorn is made with the highest quality ingredients and the best non-GMO popcorn sourced entirely from American family farms. All our gourmet popcorn is handcrafted in small batches, daily. It’s been a whirlwind of a Christmas season here in Galena. We can’t thank all our customers enough for all the love & support once again this year. We’re definitely feeling the love (and exhaustion during our 31st Holiday season in business)! Thousands of boxes went out the door! We are honored to be a part of your holiday gifting & family traditions ❤️🎄

A HUGE shoutout to our incredible staff for helping us pull through another crazy season. What a lot of customers might not realize is every single kernel sold is hand made, hand bagged and labeled right here in our shop. Nothing is mass produced in a factory, our kids help box up orders after school, family friends come in & help us ship on top of working their full time jobs. It’s a collective effort, with the smallest amount of employees we’ve had in many years, that goes into getting your orders out the door. We couldn’t do it without all these wonderful people, so THANK YOU!! ❤️🍿
