As the year 2025 comes to an end I have made a decision to close my business Bayou Merchandise. The reason is I cannot compete with Guitar Center, Sweet Water, and the pawn shops that sell guitars and amps. We opened the store to accommodate local musicians and children in local school bands. Unfortunately for us people decided to shop big box businesses instead of local ones. We had local musicians come into our store and show us the guitars they purchased from big box stores and pawn shops. While we showed a smile and congratulated them on their finds it was still a stab in the heart for us. We offered financing, guitar repairs, and donated instruments for local causes. Thank you for those who have patronized our business. We greatly appreciated it.
