GALVESTON EATS: We often get asked for recommendations on where to eat. Here’s one to try, if you’re in Galveston the night before your cruise: Shearn's Seafood and Prime Steaks is at the top floor of Moody Gardens Hotel and one of the best dining places on the island.

PERFECT FOR: Vacay date night, special occasion dinners

MUST TRY DISH, in our opinion: Roasted Beet Salad. The greens are fresh and the beets and smoked pistachios go so well with the lemon honey vinaigrette. Delish! Portion is just right; you will have room for your entree even if you finish the whole thing.

Open for dinner, 5:30 to 10:00 pm, closed on Sundays and Mondays.

You can reserve via Resy or by giving them a call at 409 683 4554.

NO T-SHIRTS, shorts, and flip flops. You don’t have to be in a ball gown (go for it that’s your thing) but do dress up a little, as you would on the ship when doing Chef’s Table, Chops Grille or Cagney’s Steakhouse.

Re: Luggage Storage Price effective May 1, 2026

To Our Valued Customers,

We would like to inform you of an upcoming change to our luggage storage pricing. Due to increasing operational costs, we will be adjusting our luggage storage rates effective May 1, 2026.

$6 per bag, any size – for reservations made on or after May 1, 2026

$7 per bag, any size - Walk-ins (no reservation)

ALL RESERVATIONS MADE PRIOR TO May 1, 2026 will be charged the old rate. Example, if you made a reservation in December 2025 for storage in June 2026, we will honor the old rate of $5 per bag, as quoted in your confirmation email.

PLEASE MAKE A RESERVATION. You can cancel anytime by email or a call if plans change. You pay upon bag drop-off, not at the time of booking. Those without reservation will be charged the walk-in rate.
