Norfork Lake level is around 554 MSL and the surface temps are in the mid 80's thanks to some cooler air temps the water temp is dropping a bit, this is a good thing because it has just been HOT HOT HOT here. Fishing will begin to pick up as it cools off. The morning and late evenings are still the better times to be out on the water. Sunfish have been doing great using crickets and worms while fishing the coves and along the bluff walls. Bass fishing has been fair with the hot temps they are scattered in all depths of the lake. Striper fishing has been fair fishing in deep water using live bait as well as trolling a deep diving bait or casting 1/4oz jig with curly tail grub. Fishing along the main lake points and around the 62 and 101 bridge, just let it fall into deep water. Walleye fishing has been good using worms from 10 - 25 feet deep . White bass fishing has been slow as well as catfishing. As long as it continues to cool down fishing will only get better. It is the dog days of summer so the heats not over yet ... Just get out on the lake do a little fishing then some play time then a little more fishing . Get ready, fall fishing will be excellent here on Norfork Lake. Have Fun Go Fishin.
