I’ve been having so much fun creating this collection—pairing beautiful, moody imagery with old frames that have been completely transformed with paint, gilding, texture and ornate details. I love taking something ordinary and giving it an entirely new story.

And I’m not the only one creating around here! Deb has been busy too, with her own collection of beautiful framed artwork—including some enchanting new pieces arriving just in time for our favorite magical, mystical season. 🖤🔮🍂

But maybe you’d rather make something yourself...

Step into our Papier Room, where you’ll find a whole room filled with gorgeous papers for decoupage, framing and mixed-media projects. Florals, vintage imagery, moody designs, unusual finds and papers you definitely won’t see in every craft store.

Grab an old wood or plastic frame, bring it to Open Studio, and completely reinvent it using our open-stock paints, IOD Moulds, embellishments and creative supplies. You bring the frame—we’ll give you plenty of ways to make it fabulous.

Got an old wood or plastic frame that could use a serious glow-up? Bring it to Creative Sol Makery!

With a little air-dry clay, some IOD Moulds, paint and imagination, you can turn an ordinary thrifted or forgotten frame into something that looks beautifully carved, collected and completely one-of-a-kind. 😍

And here’s the best part…

During Open Studio, you can use our collection of open-stock IOD Moulds to create your own design! Scrolls, florals, flourishes, architectural details — layer them, mix them, paint them and make that frame look like it came out of an old European estate instead of the clearance aisle. 😂

Grab a couple frames from home — or go thrift hunting — and bring them in. We’ll show you how to use the moulds and air-dry clay, and then you can let your imagination take over.

🖤 Something wickedly beautiful is taking shape at Creative Sol Makery…

Next time you’re driving down Middlebelt, take a peek at our front windows… because they’re about to get a little darker, moodier, and much more magical. 🖤🐦‍⬛

We’ve been working behind the scenes creating and curating pieces for our upcoming witchy season, and this Raven Beauty is getting ready to take her place front and center.

The portrait is beautiful on its own, but you know me… I couldn’t just put her in a plain frame. 😂 A little paint, some moody color, ornate details and a bit of Creative Sol magic later — this happened.

And she’s only the beginning.

Over the next few weeks, our front window is going to transform into a wonderfully mysterious display filled with art, texture, old-world details and a little bit of beautiful weirdness. Exactly the way I like it. 🖤

So when you’re driving down Middlebelt, look for the raven.
You’ll know you’ve found us. 🐦‍⬛✨

🌿✨ INTRODUCING… THE BAYOU MUSES ✨🌿

What started as Charlotte wanting to create a non-traditional mermaid for our Moody Bay display somehow wandered off into the bayou… and we decided to follow. 😂

The idea began with a woman in the water. Not a seashell-and-sparkles mermaid, but something moodier. More mysterious. More romantic. A woman who looked as though she belonged somewhere forgotten and beautiful.

And then one became two.
And two became a whole collection.

Suddenly, we could see exactly where these women lived.

Somewhere deep in the Louisiana bayou, behind the walls of an old forgotten garden… where flowers spill over crumbling plaster, iron gates have rusted with age, Spanish moss hangs from the trees, and dark, still water waits just beyond the courtyard.

And so, The Bayou Muses were born. 🌿🌊

Charlotte and Deb been pairing each woman with old frames and then painting, aging and embellishing them by hand—letting the frame become part of her story. No two are quite alike.

And apparently these mysterious ladies have been calling to some of YOU too, because they’ve been disappearing almost as quickly as we can print, mount and frame them. ❤️

But we have a feeling the Bayou Muses are just the beginning…

Because summer is fading, the nights are getting longer, and witchy season is coming. 🔮🌙

Charlotte already has some ideas brewing for the next women to emerge from her imagination—but we want to know:

If Charlotte turned her attention from the mysterious ladies of the water to the women of the witchy season… what would you LOVE to see her create?

Victorian witches? Fortune tellers? Forest witches? Apothecary women? Celestial sorceresses? Something wonderfully weird we haven't even thought of?
