After a decade, and many life changes, we have decided the storefront is no longer financially allowable. I have fought this for three almost four years now. Let me start with, I am so grateful for our customers. The store is not closing. We just can no longer afford the actual storefront.
I have tracked sales closely the past few months, and 70% of our total sales have been invoiced sales from the Facebook group. Thank you all for your support and I pray it continues.
I have had the very best employees and that is what kept me prolonging this decision; along with a part of me feels like I have failed at one of my biggest dreams; but the truth is; the world is a big ever changing place and the business it self is not failing, it just is not sustaining the over head costs and losses over the past few years- which almost doesn’t even make sense typing that out. I have had to stop and refocus and rebuild, and try to find my niche for what I have always envisioned. The losses have just held down more than the gains.
My heart hurts. I love my boutique storefront. I loved bridal and formal wear; but that business went away after, ugh, I hate even saying it, but Covid. It was ruined and I went further down the hole trying to hold
On. With that being said, I have several wedding gowns in store, along with a ton of formal wear, I will need to figure out what to do with.
The everyday western wear, clothing boutique, will continue as it has. I will have different booths throughout the year, and If you are local, my doors will always be open to come get an outfit for whatever the occasion. At the end of the day, our world sadly has gone “online.” Corporations win, and the little guy can’t survive.
Since the beginning, I have always worked at least one or two outside jobs. I never demanded the storefront business to give me a paycheck or support my family- crazy isn’t that? I did it because I loved it. And because of my love for the clothing, styles and customers, I will do my very best to continue our online presence.
The storefront will be closed as of February 1, 2024.
