Here’s the second one of the bunch. The main difference with this one is that it’s a 25.5-inch scale length instead of the 27-inch baritone length. Still loaded with all the cool and unique features as its baritone counterpart.

Now this is a cool guitar!
I had the pleasure of working on two different Variax guitars, this one being the 27-inch baritone model. This guitar is loaded with a lot of effects and features, especially the ability to change the tuning on the fly via one of the built-in effects.

Guitar: Line 6 Shuriken Variax SR270 in Matte Black

• Fixed a quick connect wire that was damaged causing the guitar to have an output issue.

Now this is quite the treat! From what I’ve seen online, this is a Gretsch 6186 Clipper from 1964!!! Making this the oldest guitar that I have ever worked on. After a full deep clean and setup, this beauty plays like it did day one.

• Repaired small dent on the back of the neck.
• Cleaned and polished the frets using MusicNomad frine fret cleaning kit.

This was brought back after suffering a terrible flood all the hardware was rusted, electronics didn’t work, and the body was starting to separate. So instead of just replacing everything on this guitar why not preserve it and show its unique character.

Guitar: RG Gio

Work done:
• Disassembled all the hardware to clean off all the rust using WD40 and metal polish.
• Glued and clamped together the body that was separating using wood glue.
• Cleaned and re-soldered all the wiring and pickups.
• Cleaned and polished the frets using frine fret cleaning kit.
• Setup and intonated to E Standard with a set of strings
(Gauge is 10-13-17-26w-36w-46w).
