A special thank you to the Gary Mayor’s Office of Constituent Services and the Gary Community School Corporation for reaching out and entrusting us to be a part of this very meaningful celebration of life.

On Saturday, Aug. 8th, hundreds of mourners filled St. John Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana, to celebrate and remember the life of Ms. Monique Desiree’ Smoot.

Family, friends, elected officials, clergy, and community members remembered Desiree as a woman with determination, resilience, and strength who touched the lives of many.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Councilwoman Linda Barnes Caldwell and father Morris Smoot and the entire family during this difficult time. 🕊️💐

Family, friends, and loved ones gathered at the historic New Tabernacle-Gary on yesterday to celebrate the life of Kenneth Charles Moore, a lifelong Gary resident whose kindness, creativity, and love for family left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

A proud West Side High School Class of 1979 graduate, Kenneth was a gifted artist with a passion for drawing and collecting comic books. He dedicated more than 30 years of service to Jacobsen and Menards, where he was respected as both a salesperson and manager.

Kenneth shared 33 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life, Deborah, and will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his generous heart, and the joy he brought to those around him.
