Come see us tomorrow at Tractor Supply Co. Annual Harvest Fest!

We’ll be set up Saturday, September 12 from 10 AM–2 PM at 1953 S. Lake Dr., Lexington!

We’ll have a limited selection of Makers baked goods, but we’re bringing the FULL Makers Sips menu — Fresh Lemonades, Specialty Lemonades, Dirty Sodas, Dirty Energy, plus our new Fall Flavors!

And of course, Zombie Nutz Boiled Peanuts will be there too!

Come grab a drink, some boiled peanuts, something sweet, and spend part of your Saturday with us and the other vendors at Harvest Fest!

Please note: The Makers farmstand in Gaston will be CLOSED tomorrow while we’re at the event. Come find us at Tractor Supply instead!

A little schedule change for Makers this week.

Due to a personal matter, we’ll be stepping away from our regular bakery production and farmstand schedule this week. There will be no retail-partner deliveries or North Farmers Market appearance Friday, and the Makers farmstand will be closed this weekend.

We do have one prior commitment that we’ll be honoring: you can still find Makers and Zombie Nutz at Tractor Supply’s Harvest Fest on Saturday from 10-2pm located at 1953 South Lake Drive.

After that, we’re giving ourselves a little room to reset before next weekend’s 2026 Midlands Fall Arts & Crafts Market.

A little change to our Saturday plans this week!

Makers is hitting the road and heading to downtown Lexington!

You can find us this Saturday, September 5 from 9 AM–1 PM at The Market at Icehouse, located at the Icehouse Amphitheater, 107 W. Main St. in Lexington.

We'll be bringing a selection of your Makers favorites, so if you're in the Lexington area, come see us!

Because we'll be at the market Saturday morning, Farmstand Sips will NOT be available at our Gaston farmstand on Saturday.

Our regular Friday evening plans at the North Farmers Market are still on, and we'll be back home at the farmstand on Sunday.

Five years too late for my momma… but maybe not too late for someone else’s.

I came across this today and I’m sharing it because I genuinely hope someone who needs this information sees it.

On August 26, 2026, the FDA approved Rasonque (daraxonrasib), a new targeted therapy for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma. It is the first treatment of its kind targeting RAS, a protein that drives tumor growth in most pancreatic adenocarcinomas.

In the clinical trial, patients receiving this treatment had a median overall survival of 13.2 months compared with 6.7 months with standard chemotherapy.

That may just look like numbers on a page to some people.

To me, it hurts.

When my momma was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer five years ago, we were told there was nothing they could do. Chemotherapy wasn’t even an option. There was no treatment plan, no chance to fight, no decision for her to make. She was placed on hospice and four months later, she was gone.

I cried when I read this today because all I could think was, “Five years too late.”

I will never know whether this treatment could have helped my mom. But I do know that another family sitting in a doctor’s office hearing the words “metastatic pancreatic cancer” deserves to know that there may be another option now.

So please share this.

If you or someone you love is facing metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma, ask their oncologist about Rasonque (daraxonrasib) and whether they may qualify. It is approved for adults who have already received at least one systemic therapy OR who are not candidates for multiagent systemic therapy.

Maybe this information won’t matter to most of the people who see this post.

But if it reaches one family who needs it, that’s enough for me.

I wish my momma had gotten an option to fight. I hope somebody else’s momma does.
