She has been pulled out of lake and parked for the winter season. Already dreaming of Summer 2022... The tall guides on the front of the trailer made it quite a bit easier to get the boat centered when putting on the trailer. Basically put the trailer in a little deeper than before - floated to the bow stop on trailer - hooked her up and tightened the bow strap - drove up and out - she self centered like a champ. No more getting in the water and centering the boat on the bunks while someone pulls the trailer out. Highly recommend anyone with issues centering their boat, give this setup a try. I am going to try them on the 18' boat next as that one always loads slightly off center of the trailer.

We were gifted with some amazing weather and fishing again this morning. The lake had a nice lite walleye chop and it was pleasantly cool in the mid-60s, but the walleye were on fire again! They are strapping on the feed bag getting ready for winter. Just look at the size of the fish and their bellies... They are feeding well out there... Just think how big these fish will be next year too.

We got on them quickly this afternoon. I had a few lines pulled out of my hands before I even managed to get them on the boards. That steelhead was one of them! For the first hour, I don't think we managed to get more than 4 lines in the water and most were hanging fish too... Great lake conditions, cool air, great company, yet another great afternoon on the lake.

Look at those two slab sided steelhead in the top-middle - the largest was almost 28". The steelhead were not playing nice today and tangled a few lines on the way in. And that "little" white bass on bottom-row-left is a fish-ohio catch. I thought we had a striper when it came up to the net.

Today was one wild day fishing. We got into more steelhead than ever before and landed the most ever. We also boated our first Coho salmon on Erie. The way lines pulled today, I am sure we lost more steelhead/salmon than we got to the net. Oh, we also managed to get the boat limit in walleye... Without a first mate aboard today, this group pulled duty running gear with me and watching out for the weekend boaters (aka the Yippie-Ki-Yay boaters). This was a day for the Privateer record books.
