We wanted to thank everyone who stopped by our Meet & Greet and book signing with author Becca Grischow this past Saturday!

It was a pleasure to welcome Becca back to Geneva, where she grew up, and celebrate the release of her second novel, For the Bride. Published by Penguin Random House, the novel has already become a USA Today Bestseller—an incredible accomplishment.

Our summer reading challenge is back! What better way to relax this summer than with a good book. Our challenge runs from Memorial Day thru Labor Day and forms (one per person) for adults and kids are now available at our front register. The kids challenge form is for ages 5 to 14 and the adult challenge form is for ages 14 and up. The rules are easy, complete 5 prompts in a row and return your form to be entered into a drawing for a grand prize (complete the whole form and get 5 entries into the drawing). Happy reading!

Last night the seniors at Geneva High School had their awards night. In addition to recognition for their various accomplishments, several students were awarded scholarships by various organizations. Harvey’s Tales awarded 4 seniors with $500 each to use towards the costs of their college textbooks. We love our Geneva schools and are proud to be able to provide scholarships this year to Brennan and Lilly Vostal, Chloe Cournaya and Brooke Grischow! Congratulations!

Join us for our 1st trivia night on the patio! Reservations are required as space is limited. Call the store at 630-232-2991 and reserve your spot today. Please bring a lawn chair as our patio furniture cannot accommodate everyone. This is a team trivia and teams can include 2-4 people. The store will be open that evening from 5:30 to 7:00 so you can shop and grab a drink from our coffee bar before play begins!

Romance readers, this exclusive shopping night is for you! Celebrate the July 14th release of Christina Lauren’s book, The Romance Revival, that evening from 6 to 8 pm. This is a ticketed event and advance purchase is required. The ticket price of $40 includes a hardcover copy of the book, a delicious mocktail, charcuterie cup from our friends at Chi-cuterie, and a bouquet bar. Spend time shopping new merchandise curated specifically for the romance reader! If you don't want the book but want to spend an evening with others who love romance books, you can attend at a cost of $20. Purchases that evening (not incl the cost of your ticket) will enter you into a drawing for a tote full of goodies.
