Lego engineering fun! Bell County High School

10/30/2026

It was a great day at Bell County High School and a wonderful way to finish off these last four days in Middlesboro. The students did the zip line engineering challenge. Could they design a car that could safely transport a minifigure down a 30 foot zip line? It didn’t seem challenging enough so we brought it into the hall and made it 80 feet and could that car carry their cell phone? A few even showed up after school for the ultimate challenge. We strung a line from the top of the bleachers by the football field all the way to the edge of the endzone. About 150 feet! To prove that Lego bricks are strong enough, I made a car that could hold my phone for that trip. Stay tuned for the video. 😊
Thank you to Ms. Krysta and Partners for Rural Impact for having the Brick Mobile come to your school!!

💚 What a journey it has been!

From a dream and a van full of bricks to soon opening the doors of our very own Brick Mobile Build Center, this journey has been filled with hard work, determination, countless hours, and a whole lot of heart.

There have been challenges, milestones, and so many incredible people who have helped us along the way. What started as a way to bring creativity, connection, and the joy of building to our communities has grown into something we could have only dreamed of.

As we get ready to begin this exciting new chapter, we can't help but look back and feel incredibly grateful for everyone who has been part of our journey. ❤️

A special thank you to Georgetown/Scott County Tourism for taking the time to share our story!

And to all of our new followers, welcome to the Brick Mobile family! If you're curious about how we got here and the story behind the bricks, we'd love for you to give it a read.

Had a great day today at Yellow Creek School Center. The fourth, fifth, and sixth graders did the tower tumbler engineering challenge. They had to come up with a design of the tallest possible tower that could also survive an earthquake machine.
After school families got together to create this mosaic that will hang in the school for the years to come.

Today the Brick Mobile was at Bell County High School and the students did the zip line challenge. The goal was to create a car out of Lego bricks that could safely carry a minifigure down this 30 foot zip line. I created one that could carry my phone. 🤣

The Brick Mobile is in Bell County and kicking things off at Bell Central School Center with this amazing 50x50 inch mosaic. The students completed it during the day as I turned making mosaics into an art lesson. This mosaic was broken up into the 400 squares, which means there were 25,600 pieces! The students did a wonderful job and now the mosaic will be on display in the school for years to come. 😊
