Tomorrow, beat the heat and celebrate the 4th of July with us and meet historical artists Dale Gallon and Larry Selman.

Dale will be here from 12-2PM and again from 3:30-5PM. This will be Dale's first public appearance in eight years. His new release, "Near Miss - Chamberlain at Little Round Top" (which made an appearance on the front page of today's Gettysburg Times) will be on display along with a large selection of his works.

Larry will be here from 10AM-5PM and will be working on a new painting featuring George Armstrong Custer. His new print release "First Victory" (Guadalcanal, 1942) will be featured alongside many other prints and originals.

This 4th of July, come out and meet famed local artist Larry Selman in our gallery alongside our gallery partner Lord Nelson's Gallery in downtown Gettysburg. He will be here working on a historical painting from 10 am - 5 pm at 17 Chambersburg St.

In addition to a large selection of his works on display, he will be showcasing his new release, "First Victory -- August 21, 1942 - Guadalcanal" (shown below).

This 4th of July, meet famed Gettysburg artist Dale Gallon, Gallon Historical Art, in our gallery alongside our gallery partner Lord Nelson's Gallery in downtown historic Gettysburg. He will be here at 17 Chambersburg St. from 12 noon-2 pm and 3:30-5 pm.

In addition to a large selection of his prints, we will be showcasing his new release, "Near Miss - Chamberlain On Little Round Top". This dramatic piece depicts when Col. Joshua Chamberlain is confronted by Lt. Robert Wiker, who fires at close range and misses.

Not only are we open, but TODAY AND TOMORROW, Gettysburg Custom Framing, along with our gallery partner Lord Nelson's Gallery, present historical and military artist Larry Selman painting in the gallery from 12-5. Larry has depicted every era of American military history and every branch of service. This will be a great opportunity to meet and greet him.

Historical and Military Artist Larry Selman will be at Gettysburg Custom Framing and Lord Nelson's Gallery July 4 & 5, 12-5. Larry has depicted every era of American military history and every branch of service. Larry will be painting in the gallery and this will be a great opportunity to meet and greet him.

Larry Selman was born in Pennsylvania and raised in a military family. Following graduation from York Academy of Art in 1982, he built a successful career in the illustration field, by collaborating with the top art directors and major publishers in New York and around the United States. Those publishers included such as Bantam, Dell, Outdoor Life, New American Library, St. Martins and many more. Establishing a reputation of excellence, several of his illustrations have received prestigious awards and his illustration work has also appeared on the majority of the GI Joe Classic Collection packaging.

For several years, he painted for both the western paperback market and the fine art market and was represented by 3 three different galleries in Arizona. Those galleries included, Husberg Fine Arts, Bob Parks and Beth Hain galleries.

Larry was involved with the building of the World War II Memorial in Washington DC, when asked by lead sculptor Ray Kaskey, to provide authentic equipment and historical expertise for the sculpting of the 28 bronze plaques that would line the entrance steps to the Memorial.

Now concentrating solely on historical fine art, his original works can be found at the US Army War College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, the Command and General Staff College, Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas and on numerous other military bases and museums throughout the United States. Larry is the only artist to depict every era of American military history and every branch of service. He has worked with Medal of Honor recipients Francis Currey and Mitchell Paige, Ranger legend Leonard Lomell, and the famed Band of Brothers, from generals, and highly decorated soldiers and new recruits. He has had the privilege to meet and work with many of our military veterans while depicting the life, and action of the American Warrior.
