Hi, eveyone! Twig here. I know it’s been a few since I posted an adventure, but no worries! Mom and I are back at it!

Mom is busy cleaning the shop so I snagged her phone. You know this famous noodle pony has to keep up with all the latest news and trends.

I was looking up how many treatos come in a pound when a message from my first cousin, Nala B, pinged. Oh boy! I love first cousin Nala B! I quickly read her text and immediately decided to get Mom.

I found Mom tangling with my arch nemesis, the vacuum! Oh no! I need Mom and she’s entrenched in battle with the vroomie! What’s a fearful noodle pony to do?! I took a deep breath and let it out with a stubborn huff and marched right up to Mom and booped her butt with all my booping strength! Mom let out a startled shout and suddenly I was rethinking my strategy!

“Twiggy! What’s up?! What on earth is going on?!” Mom gasped.

Okay, maybe it wasn’t my finest work, but mission accomplished!

“Mom, Nala B just sent a text and she’s really sad. I don’t know what to do to cheer her up.”

I could tell Mom was between giving me a kiss for being a strong, brave noodle pony and giving me a talking to for snagging her phone. I braced myself. Mom sighed.

“What did Nala B say, Twiggy?”

My tail started to wag with relief. Mom always knows how to fix things!

“She said she saw some of our deer friends standing where their home once was, but it was all gone! Our deer friends were confused and scared.”

Mom dabbed a few tears from her eyes and took a deep breath. “Twigglesworth, this one doesn’t have an easy answer, but I know what we can do.”

My tail wagged so hard I thought I was going to float away! “Tell me, Mom!”

“First, we’re going to acknowledge that injustice has sat down at our dinner table.”

A friend at the dinner table?! I sure hope they like to share their dinner! Mom knew what I was thinking and smiled. “Not to share a meal, Twiggy.”

I was so confused! I sat down and gave Mom my most puzzled look. “If we’re not eating, why are we sitting at the dinner table?”

Mom smiled broadly. I love when Mom smiles! “It’s a figure of speech Twiggy.”

I mentally crossed out telling Nala B about the meal we were going to enjoy with injustice sitting at our table!

Mom started again. “When we see, read, or hear about something we don’t care for, we often respond with frustration and anger. It’s okay to visit with those feelings, but they can’t move in and take up space in our hearts and minds.”

“How will everyone know I’m sad, angry, and frustrated if I don’t tell everyone?” I asked confused.

“You scroll the socials and news outlets . How is this way of doing things working for everything and everyone on the planet”

Oh, wow! That got my attention! I said slowly, “I don’t think it’s working very well, Mom.”

“That’s right, Twig. We can’t achieve peace, love, and healing without becoming peace, love, and healing.”

I flopped over on my side and looked up at Mom. “Holy smokes, Mom! We’ve been doing it all wrong!”

Mom pet my ear and said, “We tend to stick with what we know until we know better. Then we can do better.”

I rolled over for Mom to rub my belly. I do my best thinking while Mom rubs my belly.

“How long am I allowed to be sad and angry, Mom?”

“Set a timer, but no more than 24 hours.”

I quickly counted how many meals and treatos that would equal on my twiggletoes. “Wow, Mom! That’s not very long at all!”

“Oh my, yes it is when we’re talking about where, when, and how we spend our energy. If we want a different result, we have to make a different choice.”

I peered at Mom through my upside down eyes. I knew I was smiling at her and had ears everywhere. She laughed and kissed my chin. “Mom’s silliest best boy.”

I wagged! I couldn’t help myself!

“Mom? How can we help the deer and the earth?”

“It’s easy!”

I wagged excitedly! I love it when things are easy! I sat up so I was certain I wouldn’t miss a word. “Okay, Mom! I’m ready!”

“First, we don’t assume we know the whole story of what we are seeing. There are other actors in this story.”

I nodded and scribbled furiously on my notepad.

“Second, send love and peace to the animals. They will feel it. They will be more calm and this will allow them to move along safely.”

“Got it!”

“Third, send love and peace to the earth. She can transmute anything and appreciates the extra energy sent her way. She knows exactly what to do with it.”

I quickly paw stamped, “Earth is smart. Smarter than all of us!”

Mom smiled. “You’re not wrong about that one, Twiggy.”

I wagged. “What else, Mom?”

“We can send an email or a letter to our local representative to inquire about what is happening with the land. We can politely ask questions about how the land will be used, repaired, and maintained. We can ask about wildlife care and conservancy.”

“What if they don’t reply? What if we get a grumpy reply?”

Mom shrugged her shoulders. “No answer or a grumpy response are still answers. We have a choice to respond with grumpiness or respond with right action.”

“What’s right action, Mom?”

“Taking the next logical step in problem solving instead of stopping and hanging out in anger and frustration.”

“What should we do?!”

“We can contact our local news channel or newspaper. Awareness is the goal.”

“Mom? You know what I’m going to ask next don’t you?”

“Yes, Twig,” she said with a smile.

“What if that’s not enough? Then what?”

I wagged furiously as I took notes. “Yep!”

“We will focus our energy on sending love and peace to the earth and her creatures.”

I looked at Mom, exasperated! “How will that ever be enough?!”

“There are countries on this planet that have been at war for over a thousand years. Ask them how that’s working out for them.”

My peanut butter collagen chew dropped right out of my mouth! “Holy cow, Mom! Does that mean violence begets violence, anger begets anger, peace and love begets peace and love?!”

Mom nodded her approval. “Yes, exactly Twiggy.”

Mom went back to tangling with the vacuum and I headed off with her phone to text Nala B. I know she’s going to feel better when I tell her she can make a difference!

I love my treatos! They are my very favorite things. If you’d like to contribute to my treatos here are my deets.

Good morning, everyone! ☀️💜🐾Twig here! I’m bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. I’m ready to tell you about our newest adventure!

Mom wants me to tell all of you that if you’d like a topic covered, send us a message or comment on a post. 😊💜🐾

Yesterday I snagged Mom’s phone while she was teaching class. All of you know I have to keep up on my socials because I’m a social guy.

I was booping along admiring all of my friend’s posts and pictures when I decided I’d post a picture of Mom and me. That was a lot of work so I decided it was post breakfast nap time! I do love my naps!😴😴😴

When I woke up, I had some lunch and went for walkies because Mom just knows what I need. I think she might be magic! 💜🐾

I settled in for some more scroll time when I saw I had some notifications about the picture I posted. My tail started wagging! I love when my friends say hi! I booped notifications and saw that a lot of our friends had said hi! I couldn’t wait to see them, so I booped again to read all of their messages. Boop, scroll, boop, scroll. My tail was wagging so hard I hit myself with it! As I read the next comment, my tail slowed. I re-read the comment. My tail stopped.

“Mom? Excuse me for interrupting class. I have a question.”

Mom knew it had to be important because I would never interrupt class! “What’s up, Twiggy?”

Mom is always so patient with me!💜

“Someone said something that wasn’t very nice and now I’m sad.”

“What did they say, Twiggy?”

“Well, I posted that picture I love of the two of us earlier today.”

“Twiggy…”

“No, no Mom! I promise you’d approve. It’s the one you took of us a week ago.”

“Okay, Bubbie. What made you feel sad?”

“A person said you look old with your gray hair and should pick a color.” I cringed. I think my mom is the prettiest.

But Mom wasn’t sad or upset or mad! She smiled! Ugh, so confusing!

“Mom, aren’t you upset?” I questioned.

“No, Twiggy, I’m not upset. But I do feel some sadness for the person who made the comment.”

“Really?! You’re sad for them?! Why?!”

“If a fellow human feels so strongly about someone else’s appearance that they feel they need to make a public comment, I cannot imagine how they feel about their own appearance or what they say to themselves.”

“Do you mean they say mean things to themselves?!”

“Yes, Twig.”

“That’s awful, Mom!”

Mom nodded in agreement.

“What should I do?”

“Let’s start by sending love and compassion to the person. Then we will delete the comment. How does that sound?”

“It sounds good, but how will that stop the person from saying something else that’s not nice?”

Mom smiled. I LOVE when she smiles! My tail started to wag. “By not giving it any matching energy. Then it doesn’t have any fuel to keep going.”

“Really?! That’s all we have to do?!”

“Yes. Everything we see and read does not need a comment or shared opinion.”

Well, I had to take a nap to digest this new information! As soon as I woke up and had another snack and walkies, I did a boop, boop and the comment was gone! Just like magic!😉💜🐾

Hi, everyone! Twiggy here. What a day!😵‍💫I snagged Mom’s phone while she unloaded the van and packed orders to ship.
I went with Mom to get groceries the other day. I love grocery shopping! I wag so hard when we get to the treato section! Mom shakes her head at me and tells me I’m going to bend myself in half! That’s a Twig for you! 😊💜🐾
Mom and I were prancing along getting all the yummy ingredients for meals this week when we happened upon a group of people hanging out with their carts and chatting. I love to chat so I went right over to introduce myself. I’m used to people being happy to see me and getting pats. This was definitely something different. I looked back at Mom and she called me back to her. I was so confused, but I’m a goodest boy so I went with Mom. We continued on past and headed to the self checkout. Mom was busy booping and bagging, but I kept looking back and wondering why they didn’t want to meet me. Mom must have noticed and said, “We’ll talk about it in the car, Bubba.”
I gave her a little wag. Mom always knows the right words when I’m confused.
After I helped Mom load the car and return our cart, I settled into the back seat while Mom started the car.
“Mom?”
“Yes, Twiggy?”
“Was I a very best boy in the store?”
“You sure were a very best boy!”
“Whew! I thought I was being a bad boy. Those people didn’t want to meet me. I’m sad, Mom.”
Mom reached back and pet my head and ears. She always knows what to do!🐾💜
“I overheard their conversation, Twiggy. It didn’t have anything to do with not wanting to meet you. Sometimes people get really wrapped up in people stuff.”
I’ve heard Mom talk about people stuff before. I’m glad I’m not a people. 💜🐾
“Were they talking about sad people stuff, Mom?”
“Well, sort of, Twiggy. They were talking about their medical issues, doctors, medicine, and their loved ones with similar issues.”
My tail plopped right off the edge of the seat. “Ew, Mom! Why would they want to talk about sickness, hurt, and pain?”
“Humans can be odd, Twiggy. Sometimes it’s because they are scared and wonder if someone has words of knowing or encouragement. Sometimes it’s because the issues have gone on so long it seems it’s all they know.
Others occasionally like to one up your problems with their own. But they all have the same thing in common.”
I cautiously wagged my tail and said, “What do they have in common, Mom?”
“They have forgotten about gratitude, Twiggy.”
“What’s gratitude, Mom?”
“When you’re thankful for something or someone.”
“That sounds so easy, Mom! I can think of a hundred things I’m thankful for if I could count that high!”
Mom smiled. I LOVE when I make Mom smile! I stood up and booped her ear and she put her hand on my cheek. My tail was wagging just like the day she adopted me!
“Mom, what makes you grateful?”
“You. My friends, family, community, fresh air, fresh water, the sun, the moon, the stars, the oceans, Mother Earth…”
“Whoa, Mom! That’s the prayer I hear you say every morning!”
“Yes it is, Twigglesworth. I say my gratitude prayer every day.”
“How do you know what to thank, Mom?”
“That’s easy, Bubbie. I thank everything and everyone as if it wouldn’t be there tomorrow if I forgot to say thank you.”
“OMP (oh my paw), Mom! I’d better start saying my thank yous!”
“It’s always the perfect time to start and it’s never too late.”
As Mom drove us home, I got out my pen and notepad and started making my list. You know what?! Gratitude is easy! Mom whispered in my ear that gratitude is the secret to happiness!💜🐾 I love a secret I can share!

Good evening, everyone! Twiggy here. Mom is making dinner so I snagged her phone.
You won’t believe what happened today! I had a play date scheduled with one of my besties, Abby Beagle. We met at our favorite place for snacks and while we were crunching down on some treatos, I asked her where she wanted to play. While steadily working on a collagen roll, Abby barely glanced my way and said, “I don’t care.”
I stopped chewing my chicken and rice stick and just stared at her. “What do you mean you don’t care?”I questioned cautiously.
“Exactly what I said. I don’t care where we go to play.”
Suddenly it didn’t feel like the fun afternoon we had planned was special. I knew exactly what to do. I called Mom!
Mom answered on the first ring. “Twiggy? Is everything okay?”
“Mom, when I asked Abby Beagle wear she wanted to play at today she told me she didn’t care.”
“Ouch, buddy. Those words don’t feel very kind do they?”
“No, Mom. Now I’m not sure I want to play with Abby Beagle.”
“I have an idea, Twiggy.”
My tail started wagging so hard I smacked my own butt with it! I KNEW Mom would know what to do! “Tell me, Mom!”
“Tell Abby you have three choices for her to choose from and her choice is where you’ll go.”
“Ooohhh! That IS a good idea, Mom!”
So I said goodbye to Mom and returned to Abby. “Hey, Abby Beagle. Do you want to play at the park, the farmer’s field, or the creek?”
Abby replied, “Park sounds good.”
And just like that, off we went to the park! We had so much fun!
Later that evening Mom and I were relaxing together and I was telling her about my day. “Mom? Thanks for helping me with Abby Beagle today. I don’t think she meant to be mean. She’s my friend.”
“I don’t think Abby Beagle meant to hurt your feelings. The words ‘I don’t care’ are strong language. They should only be used after a lot of thought.”
“So Abby Beagle really did care?”
“Yes, Twiggy. Some have a habit of saying ‘I don’t care’ instead of ‘what’s your idea’ or ‘what do you think’ or ‘which place is your favorite’.
“Mom, why do the words ‘I don’t care’ make my heart sad?”
“Twiggy, it’s a very dismissive expression. Just because we’ve said it forever doesn’t make it right.”
“You were right. When I gave Abby Beagle three choices she suddenly DID care and picked the park.”
“I’ll bet that made you wag. The park is your favorite,” Mom said with a smile.
I had to tell her I was so happy I smacked my own butt with my tail! Oh I love it when I make Mom laugh! 💜🐾

Good evening, everyone! Twig here. Mom is driving so I snagged her phone. You won’t believe what I saw on Facebook earlier today. 😵‍💫Mom was teaching class so naturally I use her phone to keep up on my socials. I was busy scrolling and sending Mom Reels and ads for some cool treats I wanted to try when I saw it! 😳
“Mom?!” I gasped from the back seat.
“What’s up, Twiggy?”
“OMP (oh my paw) I just saw something AWFUL on Facebook.”
Mom turned and looked at me with that ‘eye’ of her’s… you know the one that makes me cringe. I knew this was important so I ‘fessed up to swiping her phone to catch up on my scrolling.
“What did you see, Twig?” Mom asked as she resumed driving.
“One of your Facebook friends said if people don’t agree with his opinions they should unalive themselves.”
It was so awful I had to whisper the last part!
Mom sighed. After a deep breath she said, “Without looking, I know exactly who would post something like that.”
“What should we do, Mom?”
“See those three dots in the top right corner of the post?”
I had to turn my head a little to get my boop out of the way, but when I did, I saw them! My tail started to wag. “I found them, Mom! Now what?”
“Boop the three dots then boop snooze for 30 days.”
“That’s it?! Just boop, boop?”
“Yes. Just boop, boop.”
“What will that do?! I’d love a 30 day snooze, Mom!”
“This is a different kind of 30 day snooze, Twiggy. We won’t see any of that person’s posts for 30 days. I can decide if I want to block them permanently during the snooze.”
“Mom, why do people make mean posts?”
“Oh boy, Twiggy. Lots of reasons and none of them are good. Often they are sad, hurt, and in fear.”
“Oh no, Mom! Do they need a hug from The Twig?!”
“They do need a hug. And our compassion. But we don’t condone poor behavior because someone is sad or hurt.”
“Will we still be friends with them , Mom?”
“No. So many people complain that Facebook is so negative. I snooze or delete any posts with name calling, threats of violence, racism, sexism, or if it’s just plain mean. I delete ads I don’t want to see the same way.”
“Wow, Mom! You mean you can control what we see?!”
“Most of it Twiggy. I have to be consistent with snoozing and deleting and then the algorithm starts to adjust.”
“So you can make it a nice place to visit?!”
“Yes, Twiggy. There’s always going to be a few things we don’t like, but for the most part we can control what we see.”
My tail started to wag so hard I almost fell off the back seat!
“Mom, I love to visit nice places!”
“Me too, Twigglesworth. Me too.”

Mom went back to driving and I went back to my scrolling. I had to check out what my boy, Opie the Pibble was up to today!

Good morning, everyone! Twig here. I swiped Mom’s phone while she’s setting up for class today. I was thinking about something Mom and I talked about the other day and wanted to share. 🐾
On Wednesday my tummy was so sour! Ugh! Sour tummy is THE WORST! So I did what any self respecting completely independent noodle pony would do; I told Mom my belly hurt! And you know what?! Mom knew exactly what to do! Sigh…. 🐾💜🐾
Later on that day I was feeling as good as new! I bumped into my buddy, Casey the Boxer. He asked me how I was doing and I replied with my usual pleasantries and briefly mentioned Mom fixing my sour tummy. Casey sat down and put his paw on my shoulder. I braced myself for some kind of incoming news. Time stopped existing as Casey filled me in on every unpleasant malady he had suffered since his birth! Whew 😥 it was a lot! I knew what to do to cheer Casey up! I jumped to my feet and dropped my front end down wagging my tail so hard I thought I was going to lose a butt cheek! Casey immediately forgot his worries and we danced and played until Mom asked if I was ready to go. Casey is my buddy and I sure do love him!🐾💜
Later that night I was laying next to Mom thinking about our day. Mom knew something was up because she put her hand on my head and said, “What’s on your mind, Bubby?”
Mom’s just KNOW things. 😳🐾
“Mom, Casey is my buddy and I love him.”
“I know. He’s a good boy, just like you.”
I went on to tell Mom that I thought it was weird when I mentioned I had a sour tummy earlier in the day that Casey only thought to tell me all of his pain and discomfort.
Mom smiled. Weird time for a smile, Mom. 🙄But I knew there was more to come. You don’t get to be a Twig-mom without knowing a thing or two. 😉🐾
“Twiggy,” Mom started, “humans do this too. Someone briefly mentions a hardship and BOOM the floodgates come flying open!”
My eyes got HUGE! 😳That’s exactly how I felt when Casey unloaded all of his hurts on to me! Like I was drowning in one-ups, comparison, and deflection! 🐾
Being Twig, I like to ask Mom the hard questions.
“Mom, why do we do that?”
She smiled at me again. I wagged. This was getting good!
“Some do see it as an opportunity for comparison or a one-up. In most cases they are uncomfortable with discomfort and don’t know what else to do or say. So they go with what they know! Misery loves company, I’ll tell my suffering friend about my own suffering so they don’t feel alone.”
My tail stopped. I was STUNNED! “Mom, do they really think that matching tales (insert wag) of suffering is helpful?”
I laid my head on Mom and sighed.
“Do not despair, Twigglesworth. It’s not to cause hurt, they do it because that’s all they know to do.”
“Mom, I don’t want to feel sad and I don’t want my friends to feel bad. What can I do?”
“Love them through their suffering.”
“Ooohhh, Mom. That sounds hard! Will I know what to do?!”
“You have everything you need to help your friends or even strangers on the internet.”
I started wagging again. “Really?! Me?! Twiggy?!”
“Yes, Twiggy. Put your paw on their paw and say, ‘I’m sorry to hear you are also suffering. May we both be well’.”
Whhhhooooaaaaa!!! 😳🐾
“Mom, is this doing that compassion thing you told me about before?!”
Mom gave me a long pat and said, “Yes, Twiggy. This is the same compassion we talked about in the park.”
I looked at Mom with the goopiest, most loving eyes a Twigglesworth could muster. It worked! Mom planted a big kiss right on top of my head!

Oh boy! Here comes Mom! I better get to my seat for class!

If you would like to contribute to my treato fund, I’ve been an extra, super good boy. 😉🐾🐾💜

Hi, everyone! Twig here. I took Mom’s phone because I must tell you what happened while we were out on our walkies yesterday!

Two guys, probably older teens, Mom says everyone looks like they are 15 to her 🙄, were walking ahead of us bouncing a ball. It’s a good thing balls aren’t my favorite or I would have INSISTED on meeting them! There was a nice lady sitting on a bench. I was wondering if she might have some treats… ANYWAY, the boys said something to each other and laughed. The nice lady jumped up and scared the stuffing out of me! She was shouting and making big hand motions. I told Mom we were changing direction! Whatever the boys said sure did make her sad and unhappy. 😥If you have met me in person, you know I don’t want anyone to be sad or angry. I want to show them how to be pure love, just like me!🐾💜

I told Mom, if the nice lady could understand me, I would tell her don’t take what others do not know, personally. Mom asked, “Twiggy, what do you think those boys don’t know?”
Duh, Mom!🙄🐾”Compassion.”
Mom replied, “I hear you Twiggy.”
“The nice lady on the park bench met them with what they already know, Mom.”
“What do they already know, Boop?”
“Anger, lack of compassion, lack of empathy.”
“I see. What could she have done instead?”
Seriously, my tail started wagging so hard I thought my butt was going to fall off!
“Love them, Mom!”
“Ooooohhhh, Twiggy. That’s a tall order for a human that feels injustice just sat down at their dinner table.”
Dinner?! Holy s**t I love dinner!
Sorry! Food is my favorite. Let me get back to what happened!
“I don’t mean she has to like what they said, Mom. She only has to love them because they know no more than they do. You know I get sad when I feel people don’t know love.”
“I know, Twigglesworth. Perhaps we can help by sending our love to their situation. Maybe they will feel it and remember the love they were born to be.”
Tail wagging furiously, I asked Mom, “ How can we do it?! Hugs?! Treats?! Blow some kisses?!”
Mom smiled at me and stroked my head and said the words I love for! “You’re my best good boy.”
I melted into a full sploot right there on the grass! “Tell me what to do, Mom! I can’t wait!”
Mom said, “You know that look we give each other?”
I wagged furiously!
“You mean the one where we love each other so hard your head feels like it’s going to explode and my heart feels like it could burst?!”
Mom smiled. “Yep. That’s the one.”
I closed my eyes. I curled up my Twiggletoes so tight! I wanted to get out every last drop of love I had to give!
“Okay, Mom! I’m ready! What’s next?”
“Take a deep breath. When you exhale, send all the good stuff their way!”
And on three, that’s what Mom and I did!
Mom and I went on with our walk. I have to admit I had an extra prance in my step! Wow! Sending love to difficult people and situations is SUPER EASY!

Mom is looking for her phone so I better wrap this up before she finds me! Pssstttt…I love treats and if you would like to donate to my cookie fund, here’s my info!PayPal [email protected]
