represents the ingredients for ancient leather making. "Spinney", the Middle English word for woods or thicket, represents tannin, the ancient ingredient derived from wood bark which is still used in leather making. "Beck," the word for brook or swift moving stream, represents the water component of leather making. Founded in 1962, Spinneybeck is recognized as a leading provider of high-quality leather to architects and interior designers. Over the decades, the company has evolved from a supplier of full grain, aniline dyed Italian leather for upholstery and aircraft interiors to a manufacturer of pioneering, leather architectural products that cover the floor, walls, and everywhere in between. Harvesting our cork is done entirely by hand to avoid causing harm to the tree through an incredibly delicate process. "Calmness is the most important feeling I wanted guests to experience when they sit down in this restaurant.
Previously, the atmosphere felt slightly hectic – poor acoustics meant that guests had to raise their voices to have a conversation. However, calmness is not only about reducing the noise level. The design was also intended to create a sense of visual calm by softening the color palette and adding greater depth to the space."
