Thank you to everyone who supported Books for Barks this year and helped us raise $3,490 for CHEW Dog Rescue! This is enough to help save 10 adult dogs. We wouldn’t be able to do any of this without the help of many people, so I’d like to say thank you to everyone who played a part in this years sale.
First of all, thank you to all the businesses who donated raffle baskets or raffle items! Invitation Bookshop, Wilco, Iscreamery_Gig Harbor, Kimball Coffeehouse, Galaxy Theatres Gig Harbor IMAX, and Harbor Animal Hospital, Gig Harbor, thank you for your generous donations. Also, thank you so much to CHEW volunteer Deb, who put together 6 incredibly beautiful raffle baskets.
I’d also like to thank everyone who volunteered or helped out with the sale. The biggest thank you ever goes to Briar, Claire, Anna, and my mom, Heidi. This sale wouldn’t be possible without any of you. Also thanks to Lisa, Susan & Dave, Autumn, Chloe, Megan, Maddie G., and Kelsea for volunteering, and Cheryl and Gloria for helping make this possible!
We are most grateful for Katie and the wonderful workers at Wilco. Thank you for letting us use your space and for all the help you gave us throughout the weekend!
We’re also incredibly grateful for Allyson and the amazing staff at Invitation Bookshop. Thank you so much for letting us host our donation bins at your incredible new location, as well as your help with promoting the bins and carrying heavy loads of books to our cars!
