Listen up, flock.

There’s some beautiful madlad out in the wild already sketching plans, welding God-knows-what, and smiling like a lunatic because they know what’s coming. That’s the AFC spirit.

Volunteers don’t just show up - they show out. They bring the fire (sometimes literally), the chaos, the contraptions, and the heart that turns a patch of desert into the greatest temporary civilization on Earth.

If you’re already scheming something deranged for 2027... we see you. We salute you. And we can’t wait to watch it fly...or explode.

Meet our newest feathered (well... sorta) maniac: Gus.

He’s fun.
He’s Fungus.

That’s right - we’ve officially added a walking, desert-dwelling mushroom to the Arizona Flying Circus Maniacs. No fancy origin story, no big reveal - just another weird desert creature who showed up ready to connect the whole damn mycelial network of misfits, pilots, pyromaniacs, and dreamers.
No corporate fluff. No polished branding. Just pure, unhinged desert absurdity in fungal form. He’s here to remind us that sometimes the best ideas grow in the weirdest places - usually right before something explodes.

So next time you’re at MoTown, keep an eye out for Gus. He might be handing out questionable hugs, lighting fuses, or quietly networking the entire event underground like the legend he is.

We’re launching an Arizona Flying Circus photo contest for the birds of a feather who captured the flight, fire, contraptions, campfire glory, and beautiful desert madness.

Show us your best shots from the Circus:

Vendor opportunities are opening for the 2027 Arizona Flying Circus

Every February, birds of a feather descend on a remote desert airstrip outside Maricopa, Arizona, for a few days of flying contraptions, fire, food, music, guns, and beautiful chaos.
